Kael stepped silently through the portal.
Back inside the Comandos Base, the space felt smaller than before.
Not because it had changed… but because of what he now carried within him.
Mister appeared on the screen almost instantly.
— Mission completed?
Kael replied calmly:
— The city was located.
It exists outside of linear time.
But it poses no threat.
Mister paused.
— Anything else?
Kael looked at his reflection in the metallic surface of the chamber.
He remembered the crystalline staircase.
The throne.
The disc.
And then he said:
— That's all.
---
In the days that followed, Kael was summoned to give a full debriefing.
But he withheld parts of the truth.
He did not lie.
But he also… didn't tell everything.
The City of Three Moons was more than an anomaly.
It was a living memory.
And he knew:
if LIGA learned too much… they might try to control it.
And the city was not meant to be controlled.
It was meant to be remembered.
---
Kael returned to his routine.
But something in him had shifted.
He now understood that not all missions had an end.
Some became part of who you are.
And the next one… was already on its way.
