Chapter 3 - Memory Lane

His eyes were closed but he couldn't shut out the emotions that were swirling inside of him. He was consumed by sadness, tears rolled down his cheeks confirming the pains he was feeling.

His mind wandered back to his own past, to the memories he had shared with Kiaan. He thought the laughter, inside jokes and the late -night conversation they had shared. He thought about how Kiaan had made him feel, like it was home.

•FLASH BACK•

Kavi had just waved his friends a goodbye before leaving the department of art studio, he lived in a cozy minimalist mansion on a quite street, surrounded by trees and vibrant streets art. The neighborhood was for students with very strong background, it was like a VIP estate but in a school environment.

As he walked home from the art studio, lost in thought, he often finds inspiration in the world around him. His eyes wandered around the quite neighborhood when he noticed a guy sitting on his favorite wooden bench beneath the shade of a towering tree in the street. It was Kavi's comfort space, he spend most of his time on bench to create art 🖼️.

It was quite a shock for him to see another guy sitting on his bench, practically not his but I mean people in the neighborhood rarely use the bench so it was technically his.

He has been observing the weird guy whose focus was on his laptop The guy looked up and caught Kavi's eye, and for a moment, they just stared at each other.

Kavi felt a sudden jolt of curiosity. Who was this guy, and why was he sitting on his bench in the middle of the afternoon? He walked over to the bench and cleared his throat.

Kiaan looked up, then broke into a confused smile. "Hey, how can I help you." He said putting his laptop away. "You have been staring for a while now."

Kavi been a competitive guy sat at the edge of the bench "Well you are in my space" he said as he opened his bag to bring out his equipment.

Kiaan furrowed his eyebrows in confusion "You space ? This is a public property, it not private owned."

Kavi pulled out his IPad and stylus, his fingers moving deftly as he begins to sketch, his brow furrows in concentration,

Kiaan question made him stopped sketching. He looked at the handsome looking guy, who exudes confidence and charm. His unruly black hair is stylishly messy and his bright blue eyes sparkle with intelligence. He was wearing a sleek, fitted white shirt complimenting his tone physique, with grey adidas shorts and a flip flop.

"It is public property but people rarely use it except for me, it quite a shock to see someone here " Kavi said and resumed his work.

Kiaan nodded, now he understood what he meant by his space "Well I hope you don't mind sharing your space now ?" He asked.

Kavi shrugged "As long as you don't interrupt me and my work, I don't have a problem".

Kiaan extended his hand for a handshake "My name is Kiaan and I live around here" he introduced.

"I am Kavi, a 300l student of Art" he said as they shook hand.

They worked in comfortable silence, fully absorbed in thier different task. As the sun set casting a warm orange glow, the street lights flickered to life. Kavi packed up his equipment, "Bye Kiaan" he bid his farewell and departed.

Kiaan lingered for a bit, wrapping up his task before carefully placing his laptop in its bag. As he slung the bag over his shoulder, his mind wandered to Kavi, sparking a curiosity about the guy he had worked alongside in silence all day. With a thoughtful glance around the now - empty space, he headed out.
