Chapter 14 - Chapter Ten: The Age of Exploration and the Expansion of the World

Circa 1492 CE – The Age of Discovery

The Age of Exploration was an era of discovery, and Marcus was right there alongside the explorers as they charted new lands. He met Christopher Columbus in Lisbon before his fateful journey to the New World. While others saw Columbus as a visionary, Marcus saw a man driven by both ambition and a desire to find something that could redefine the world.

"I will discover a new world," Columbus said, his voice filled with excitement. "One that will change history."

"Maybe," Marcus replied, his tone calm. "But remember, the world already has people living in it. Discovery is not just about what you find—it's about what you leave behind."

This conversation lingered with Columbus as he sailed westward. The Age of Exploration would shape the world forever, and Marcus was a quiet observer, planting the seeds for the many interactions between cultures, the coming of new empires, and the blending of civilizations.

As Marcus continues his journey through time, he begins to shape the destiny of many nations and figures. The Ragnarok and the recognition of his immortal nature by various religions will come, but not yet. For now, he is a figure woven through the fabric of history—sometimes known only in legend, sometimes as a guide, sometimes as a whisper in the wind.
