Circa 1000 CE – Mesoamerica
High atop the Temple of Kukulkan, the priests waited for a sign.
They got Marcus, landing after a gacha-assisted leap across two pyramids.
He was mistaken for Quetzalcoatl—and didn't deny it. He helped build aqueducts, ended a drought, and taught new ways of farming. But when a volcanic god demanded sacrifice, Marcus refused.
"You don't need blood to be remembered," he shouted, his voice echoing across the jungle. "Only purpose."
He faced Tezcatlipoca in a trial of strength and wisdom—one that took place in dreams and storms.
He won.
And when the volcano settled, a new statue was carved in white stone. It bore no face.
Just the inscription:
> "The One Who Interferes."
