Chapter 31 - Pt.31: Chains Unleashed – Salvation of Timeline 41-V

Descent Into a Dying World

The Valorpoint, Earth's first Aetherborne warship, shimmered as it pierced through the fold. At its helm stood Liam, flanked by Trinity, Kaidon, and the elite strike team: Elena, Dante, Shiro, Aria, and Vaelion of the Bihari.

> TARGET REALITY: TIMELINE 41-V

STATUS: COLLAPSING. ENDWALKER INCURSION 72%.

OBJECTIVE: Stabilize Core Thread, Evacuate Survivors, Sever Endwalker Anchors.

As they entered, the ship groaned under pressure—not from mass or gravity, but from existential fatigue.

This world was bleeding memories. History flickered in reverse. Cities echoed with the voices of people who hadn't been born yet—and never would be.

Shiro whispered, "It's like the entire timeline is… gasping for air."

Kaidon's eyes pulsed with golden fire.

"Not for long."

---

The Battle Over the Last City

Beneath them, the final surviving bastion—Aurelion Citadel—stood atop a mountain of inverted stone and fractured time-crystals. It was under siege by three Endwalker Wraith-Kings, each surrounded by legions of corrupted time echoes: Reflections of what had been erased.

Liam activated the command node.

"Drop us right into the heart of their corruption spires. Split into two wings. Trinity, with me. Kaidon, take the Chains and destabilize their anchor threads."

Trinity uncoiled her chain, white-silver runes flaring.

"I'll protect the memory field. The people here must remember who they are, or they'll cease to exist."

---

Trinity's Stand – Defending the Memory Field

On the ground, waves of Memory Leeches surged toward the Citadel, their touch turning soldiers into shadows.

Trinity raised her hands and cast her chain high—spinning it in a circular pattern.

A dome of radiant light exploded outward, anchoring the memories of the city into the Chains of Eternum.

Children who had forgotten their names… remembered.

Warriors who had lost the will to fight… screamed defiance.

Trinity's voice rang with cosmic harmony:

> "This city remembers! You will not take this world's soul!"

The leeches shrieked in pain, dissolving under the purity of her light.

---

Kaidon's Wrath – Breaking the Anchor Threads

Far above, Kaidon appeared at the peak of the Voidspire—one of the anchor points linking the Endwalkers to this timeline.

A massive Wraith-King stood guard—Tharos the Unwritten, its body stitched together from dead futures and hollow rulers.

It hissed as Kaidon approached.

> "Your chains belong to another age. You cannot bind what was never meant to be."

Kaidon whipped his golden chain forward—

It wrapped around the Wraith-King's core and pulsed with Genesis Resonance, now amplified through the chain.

"Then let me write something new."

He pulled.

Reality buckled.

The anchor thread—an ancient knot of corrupted time—snapped.

> ANCHOR POINT SEVERED. ENDWALKER STABILITY –20%.

Kaidon slammed the Wraith-King to the ground and whispered:

"You don't belong here."

One blast of Titan-forged aether flame and the Wraith-King disintegrated—its echo banished from all timelines.

---

Liam and Elena: Breaching the Core Rift

Meanwhile, Liam and Elena stormed the corrupted gateway below the Citadel—where the final Root Rift had begun to tear the world apart.

The last two Endwalker Wraiths blocked the path, standing like statues of entropy.

Their combined aura tried to erase Liam's flame, but the Genesis Core flared with anger.

Liam grinned.

"Two of you? That's almost fair."

He and Elena surged forward.

She danced like lightning—cutting tendrils of darkness.

He brought down Godfall, now wrapped in silver-white flame, smashing one Wraith into temporal dust.

The second Wraith lunged for Elena—

But Liam threw himself between them and activated Genesis Override.

> COMBO INITIATED: GODFALL + ETERNUM RESONANCE

REALITY BREACH STABILIZED

He didn't just kill the second Wraith.

He sealed the rift it was feeding from.

---

Timeline 41-V: Stabilized

As the final echo of the Endwalker invasion dissipated, the sky cleared. The stars realigned.

Time slowed… and held.

Trinity floated above the city, her chain descending to the heart of the Citadel.

Kaidon joined her, linking his own to the seal.

The Chains of Eternum pulsed in perfect sync.

For the first time in years, Timeline 41-V was stable.

Survivors emerged from the Citadel. Children wept. Soldiers saluted.

Their world had been days—hours—from being unmade.

Now?

They had a future again.

---

New World, New Ally

Back aboard Valorpoint, Liam sent the signal:

> Timeline 41-V: Secured.

Eternum Network Link Established.

New Champion Identified: Commander Relek Voss.

As the ship lifted into the folds of reality, Kaidon stood beside Liam at the viewport.

"You saw how easily this world was targeted," Kaidon said.

Liam nodded. "And how fast it was saved with the right unity."

Trinity approached.

"This was just one thread. The Endwalkers will test the others. And soon… the Nullborn will follow."

Liam clenched his fists, flame curling up his arms.

"Then we strike first. We don't just defend anymore."
