In a fractured world ravaged by demon hordes, clans wield blood-forged powers to survive, none more potent than the Vermilion Clan, whose blood weaves miracles and curses. Amid this brutal landscape, Eran, a young orphan of the Vermilion Clan, is born under a prophecy—a sigil heralding the return of Tirth, a god sealed centuries ago for his tyrannical ambition. As demons lurk in the shadows, seeking to unchain their master, and an enchanted den opens its gates every decade, Eran’s blood holds the key to either salvation or doom.Raised by his aunt and uncle, Eran’s childhood is shattered at eight when they betray him, imprisoning him and two other Vermilion orphans, Lila and Kael, to fuel the Crimson Ascendance—a blood ritual to crown their son Jagroth as the world’s most powerful. For a year and a half, Eran endures relentless torment, his regenerative blood spilled daily to feed the ritual, while Jagroth’s blood drips as its catalyst. As the children’s spirits break, Eran clings to a flicker of defiance, whispering promises of escape to Lila and Kael. But when demons slaughter the clan, including Jagroth, the ritual collapses in chaos, unleashing a power none foresaw. From the ruins, Eran emerges transformed, his blood pulsing with unnatural might. Alone, with Lila and Kael dead and his betrayers slain, he grapples with a haunting question: what has the ritual made him? As the mark of eternity flares and the den’s gates loom, Eran must navigate a world of blood and betrayal, where five divine beasts guard ancient secrets and demons hunt his power. Caught between prophecy and vengeance, Eran’s journey will decide whether he becomes a savior, a monster, or the key to Tirth’s return in this gripping dark fantasy of sacrifice and survival.

Chapter 1 - prologue

In the beginning, when the planet was newly formed, its creator, Goddess Kaya, lived in seclusion with her two sons, Kripa and Tirth.

No human knew of their existence.

Kaya watched over the world in silence, ensuring that life flourished, untouched by divine hands.

Kripa, gentle like his mother, was content to remain hidden.

But Tirth was different.

He gazed at the world and burned with desire—not to nurture it, but to rule it.

To be worshipped.

One day, Tirth confronted his mother.

"Why do you hide from them?" he demanded. "You gave them everything, yet they don't even know your name. If you do not want their devotion, then why shouldn't I take it?"

Kaya looked upon him with sorrowful eyes and spoke:

"You speak like a child. We gave them nothing but questions, and they spend their lives searching for answers. Before they existed, they knew no joy — but neither did they know sorrow. We created them not to rule over them, but to prove we existed. They are our reflection. That is why we must protect them — not control them."

But Tirth would not listen.

Blinded by pride, he descended among humanity, proclaiming himself the one true god.

When they rejected him, admiration twisted into hatred.

He unleashed slaughter upon them, forcing worship through blood and terror.

Kripa, unable to stand by, poured his soul into a secret rebellion.

Deep within a hidden den, he forged weapons—powerful enough to stand against his brother.

But Tirth discovered his brother's secret.

Enraged, he led an army of demons to the den.

The battle that followed shook the heavens.

Kripa fought valiantly, but against a thousand demons and Tirth's overwhelming might, he fell.

At that moment, Goddess Kaya appeared.

When she saw Kripa's lifeless body, grief consumed her.

In her wrath, she obliterated the demon army with a single gesture, turning the battlefield into a wasteland of ash.

But when she turned to Tirth, her heart faltered.

He was still her son.

She could not bring herself to destroy him.

Instead, she sealed Tirth away in another dimension—banishing his hatred from the world.

But the den, stained with blood and sorrow, remained untouched.

As a final act, Kaya placed an enchantment upon it:

its gates would open only once every ten years.

Overcome with sorrow, Kaya vanished from the world, leaving behind no trace but her memory.

Before departing, she divided her divine power, scattering it among chosen individuals and five sacred beasts—guardians of nature, spirit, and time.

These gifted ones became the ancestors of today's clans.

The beasts became guardians of life itself.

But Tirth's loyal demons survived.

After Kaya's disappearance, they vowed to break his seal—and even now, centuries later, they lurk in the shadows, waiting for their moment.

After Goddess Kaya vanished from the world, everything changed.

The demons, once hiding in the shadows, began to hunt openly—slaughtering humans in their relentless search for the key to the Realm where Tirth was sealed.

Those few blessed with Kaya's power rose to defend humanity, but they were too few, and too weak against the growing tide of darkness.

Every day, villages fell. Every day, more lives were lost.

Fear spread like a plague, and hope became a distant memory.

In the end, the people could do nothing but pray—waiting desperately for the day fate would finally change.
