Zora planned to visit the Grand Preceptor's residence today. Sean's poison needed to be cured as soon as possible, but the place was huge, and she didn't know where Sean lived. She would have to search after getting inside.
At the hour of Hai (around 9–11 PM), a black figure moved quickly through the night.
Zora was very fast and soon reached outside the residence. Before leaving, she had drunk two bottles of basic potion, so her energy was full.
With a swish, she threw out a vine. After sensing that no one was inside the wall, she used the vine to pull herself into the courtyard.
She wandered quickly through the empty paths…
After half an hour, outside a courtyard, she spotted Sean's personal servant.
Zora sighed deeply. She had finally found him. Her legs were about to break from all the running.
She turned and went to the side of the courtyard. Using the same method, she swooshed inside. The courtyard had many trees, and the shade perfectly hid her whole body.
Sean was sitting by the window reading a book. He had just bathed and was preparing to rest, wearing only his inner clothes.
When the servant left for the side room, Zora quickly entered Sean's room and locked the door.
Sean was startled to see a figure suddenly flash inside. He was about to call for help but stopped when he saw Zora's small face.
Zora leaned against the door, panting heavily. Her face was red, but she gave him a big, bright smile.
"I'm here to cure your poison. Think of a way to send the servants away. No one can disturb us while detoxifying," Zora said between breaths.
"Why did you suddenly appear in my room? Don't stare at me. I'll go change my clothes," Sean said in a panic, turning to hide behind a screen.
He was only wearing thin clothes. This shameless woman…
"Hey, no need to change! You'll have to take your clothes off later for detoxifying anyway!" Zora hurried to the screen and said.
She thought ancient people were so troublesome, wearing so many clothes and still being shy.
Sean paused but said nothing. Feeling both shy and annoyed, he properly dressed and walked out.
There was a knock at the door.
Ajing's voice came, "Young Master, are you ready to rest? I came to put out the lights."
"No need. I'll do it myself later. No need to keep watch tonight," Sean said, frowning at Zora and dismissing Ajing.
"Yes," Ajing's footsteps faded away.
Zora, looking innocent, said, "I'll drink some water, then we can start. I need to cure you and get back to sleep."
Sean sneered, "Oh? I heard the famous Miss Zora bought a handsome courtesan at the Green Grass Pavilion yesterday. No wonder you're in such a rush."
Zora: "..."
What? My business with June already spread everywhere?
"It's not what you think. I was helping someone as a favor," Zora instinctively explained.
"Miss Zora really has a lot of luck with beauties. Always saving handsome men," Sean said sarcastically, stepping closer to Zora.
The two of them were now only a palm's width apart.
Zora froze, stupidly staring at his flawless face. She could even smell the light fragrance from Sean's body. Her heart beat faster.
She softly said to Sean, "You're right. I'm saving a beauty now."
Seeing Zora's silly, starry-eyed expression, Sean's heart was somewhat pleased. Earlier, when Ajing had told him about Zhiyo and June, Sean didn't know why he had felt so angry.
He forced himself to calm down, took two steps back, and coldly said, "How do we treat it? Let's begin."
"You have to take off your clothes. The poison needs to come out through your pores. It's mostly in your internal organs. Just take off your upper clothes," Zora said naturally.
Sean's face turned darker. "It's already improper for a man and woman to be alone. Now you even want me to take my clothes off? Are you really here to cure me?"
Zora felt speechless. It's just taking off the top, not the pants! Why was he looking at her like she was a bandit?
"If not to cure you, why else would I come?"
"If you're shy, turn off the light," Zora said.
Seeing Zora's calm face, Sean reluctantly turned around and put out the lamp.
"You can sit on the bed. It's more comfortable, and it'll be easier for me to treat you," Zora said as she moved to sit at the bedside.
Sean didn't hesitate anymore. Since it had come to this, there was no choice. He fumbled his way to the bed, wanting to finish the treatment quickly.
Just as he was about to get on the bed, he tripped over something and fell forward.
"Ah..." Zora cried out softly, clutching her chin.
At this moment, Sean had fallen right on top of Zora. Her chin hit something hard, and it hurt terribly!
"What are you doing? I told you to sit, not to fall on me!"
Sean was stunned the moment he fell. Feeling the softness of Zora's body under him made his face flush red in the darkness. Thank heavens the lights were off!
He smelled the faint scent of plants again. Though it was the second time, it felt strangely familiar.
"You're crushing me, get up!" Zora said, pushing him.
Only then did Sean slowly get up and sit beside her.
"I think it was your shoe that tripped me," Sean muttered, still embarrassed.
Zora remembered she had kicked her shoes off carelessly earlier.
"Sorry. Let's start. Take off your clothes and turn your back to me."
"Mm."
The sound of clothes being taken off filled the air. The moonlight lightly shone into the room. Zora could faintly see the outline of Sean's body.
Damn!
She realized that Sean had an incredible body—tight muscles, not bulky but with beautiful lines, and faint abs. Just her type!
With the moonlight's hazy glow, it was dangerously tempting. Zora felt like she was about to have a nosebleed.
"Let's begin," Sean said, sitting with his back to Zora.
"Oh, okay," Zora said, reaching out.
When she touched Sean's back, he clearly shivered.
Zora calmed herself and started channeling her wood powers, probing into Sean's body bit by bit.
Sean felt the scent of plants getting stronger. A warm current started from where she touched him and spread through his whole body, feeling very comfortable.
Both of them slowly closed their eyes.
Half an hour later, Zora, exhausted, withdrew her hand and flopped onto the bed. "I'll rest for a bit. How do you feel?"
Sean's voice was a little choked, "It feels great. I haven't felt this clear-minded in a long, long time."
Just one session and the effect was already this good.
Even breaths filled the room. Zora seemed to have fallen asleep from exhaustion...
