Chapter 2 - CHAPTER 2: MEMORIES

Andrei, who had been hit by the truck, woke up in a fancy room that looked like something straight out of a fantasy novel. The ceiling was so high it could easily fit three floors of his previous apartment, and the walls were so white it felt like he had woken up in heaven.

Suddenly, Andrei sat up, panicking about the unfamiliar room he had found himself in, thinking it might be one of those luxury hospitals in the USA — the kind he definitely couldn't afford.

Andrei was suddenly hit by a sharp headache. As the pain subsided, he noticed the body he was inhabiting — it was the character he had created. He remembered that his character was born to an unnamed mother from the Shepard family.

In his design, he had made sure that his character's mother was part of the direct bloodline of Saint Shepard Ju Peter, so that his family rank would be higher than Sommers. It appeared that Saint Ju Peter was, in fact, his great-grandfather — the father of his grandmother, who had once been considered one of the most ruthless members of God's Knights.

Andrei soon learned his new name in the world of One Piece — he was now known as Saint Michael F. Shepard. His personality was quiet and reserved, much like how Gunko acted around other Celestial Dragons. Raised in the heart of Mary Geoise, he had been taught to look down on others, though he had not yet shown this arrogance outwardly, having spent his entire life so far within the sheltered confines of Marijoa.

Michael was suddenly struck by another wave of pain, a searing headache that brought with it memories that did not belong to him. They were the memories of Cain from The Strange Talent of Luther Strode. They played out in his mind like a vivid, relentless movie — starting from the moment Cain first killed his brother, Abel, to his discovery of the unnamed "Method."

He saw the millennia Cain spent wandering the world, living among humanity, killing without remorse, battling countless warriors, and reveling in the blood-soaked violence. Every scene, every moment of brutality etched itself into Michael's consciousness, slowly warping his personality. Piece by piece, the psyche of a boy from a peaceful world — one who had never known true violence — began to fracture and change.

After a few minutes, the merging of Cain's memories into his own was finally completed. Michael immediately realized that something fundamental had changed within him. He could now see his muscle groups — observing his physique in microscopic detail, every fiber of muscle shifting and contracting without conscious effort. He could feel and trace every heartbeat, watching as blood pulsed through his veins with each rhythmic thump.

Sensing the danger of losing himself, Michael sat down and meditated, focusing on fully assimilating the memories of both Cain and his new self. Slowly, he molded a new personality — one that maintained the quiet, obedient facade expected of a Celestial Dragon, yet carried the cold precision and dangerous instincts born from millennia of violence. Within moments, he had crafted a mask so perfect that no one would ever suspect the monster lying beneath the surface.

Michael then stood up, seeing his body massively changed from his memory from yesterday, which he immediately change back, compressing his muscles, to resemble the size it was previously on, which made the muscle fiber thicker and more condensed, packing a lot more strength than before, which Michael immediately noticed as well.

Michael then looked around the room, thinking about the Devil Fruit and Sword he put in the survey, since everything is in place, which means it should also be in his possession, while looking around, he found a chest in his room, which is large enough to have the sword and devil fruit he was looking for, when he opened it, there he saw a Devil Fruit and a sword, sheathed, the sword then began communicating with him, it was the spirit of Ingrid, mixed with the will of Byakko, which means he now has a sword that is capable of fighting by itself, with the sharpness that could cut even the tough scales of Azure Dragon even without haki.

"Ingrid," Michael called out, which made the sword fly towards him. It then began floating beside him, altering its size to fit his current height, making it a bit shorter, but it could extend itself into 3 meters as a weapon, Michael then commanded it to transform into the Byakko creature, which it immediately did, becoming a large white tiger, with a white smoke in its shoulders, indicating that it was already awakened, thinking about the history of this sword.

Suddenly, someone entered his room. The maid, thinking Michael was still asleep, gasped in surprise and immediately dropped to her knees, bowing her head in apology.

"Forgive me, Saint Michael! I thought you were still resting. Saint Ju Peter has ordered us to wake you, as today marks the beginning of your training with the God's Knights," the maid said, her voice trembling with fear. She was terrified — and with good reason. It was common for Celestial Dragons to kill servants without a second thought over even the slightest mistake.

Michael, still seated and calmly observing the sword resting on his lap, barely glanced at her. "Tell Saint Ju Peter I will come down soon," he replied, his tone cold yet composed.

Relieved to be spared, the maid quickly bowed again and fled the room, grateful to have survived her mistake, at least for now. Michael watched her leave, his mind already shifting focus.

'It seems this will be my first training session with the God's Knights. I don't doubt I'll breeze through it easily,' he thought.

He then took the Devil Fruit that remained inside the chest he found, and he ate it, trusting that this was the Devil Fruit that he had made in the survey. The moment he bites the fruit, it immediately tells him its function and powers, having the ability of Gildart's Crash Magic, where he would be able to pulverize and disassemble anything he wants to, he could use physical touch, maybe he would be able to use it as a long range in the future but not now. It was the exact abilities of the Devil fruit he was thinking of when he was answering the survey.

Michael then walked, outside towards the door, before he could open the door, it suddenly disassembled into smaller cubes, which Michael did not want to do.

'It seems that it would be hard to control this ability,' Michael thought, remembering that Magnolia has a specific form just to prevent Gildarts from crashing between the walls of its residents.

Michael then spent his time walking around the walls in their castle, destroying the walls without caring, until he reached the office of Saint Ju Peter, where he also destroyed the wall before coming face to face with his Great Grandfather, Saint Ju Peter, who looked at Michael, and did not mind the damage he caused, since he was the one that gave the Devil Fruit as a gift for his start at God's Knight training, he did not know that it would transform into Mythical Zoan due to it being gift from the system that transported Michael.

"It seems that this devil fruit is harder to control. I should have given it to you earlier," Saint Ju Peter said towards Michael, saying it without any emotion as he just cared for Michael if he was worth anything.

"I'll be able to control it soon — just give me a moment," Michael answered, speaking in the calm, respectful tone that the original Michael would have used. His eyes, however, were sharp, focused not just on Saint Ju Peter's face, but on his entire body, analyzing every muscle group, watching how they tensed and relaxed.

As Michael observed, something strange happened. He could see faint, glowing blue traces outlining possible movements, showing where Saint Ju Peter was about to move. Then, in the blink of an eye, those blue trails solidified into reality, the Elder moving exactly as the vision had predicted.

Unknowingly, Michael had awakened a form of future sight — a precognitive ability similar to advanced Observation Haki — without having ever formally trained in it.

Saint Ju Peter, who had just stood up, gave Michael a brief nod of approval. Without warning, he activated a technique and instantly teleported Michael to the headquarters of the God's Knights, where his official training would begin.
