"Bullshit"
Dane smirks,
"Now you're interested."
Axel rolls his eyes,
"No. I just know you're lying to me."
The boys round a corner and at the end of the hall stands two massive doors. The meeting room.
"Yes, I'd risk my job just to mess with you a little bit. How disgraceful of me." You could almost see the sarcasm dripping from his mouth as he spoke.
Axel stops,
"You're serious?"
"There are somethings I'm not allowed to know." Dane said, looking back at Axel before dragging him along again towards the towering entrance.
He didn't resist this time, walking slightly faster than he had been.
"Did they give you anything, anything at all?"
The two boys finally reached the doors, that seemed to stretch on forever.
"No, but you're about to find out."
Dane pulled open the entry way just enough for him to push Axel through. Stumbling into the meeting room like a lost child.

The meeting room wasn't nearly as imposing as the doors that guarded it. There was a long table in the middle of the room. Illuminated by yellowish white lights in the ceiling and windows that ran the length of the room, letting light in but distorting the image of the capital below.
Though the people in the room were far more terrifying than any inanimate object inside. At the head of the table was a woman in an emerald green dress, she had mostly dark drown hair with a few strands of silver sprinkled in. Though no one would ever mentioned the silver.
She was the queen, and Axel's mother.
