Chapter 12 - Chapter Ten: Tatooine

The journey from Dagobah to Tatooine had been long, and the trip in Aaron's small starship gave him plenty of time to reflect.

His training under Yoda had brought him to this point, honing his skills and his mind. Now, the Force called him to Tatooine, the desert planet where the future would unfold, but there was no immediate path laid before him. Luke Skywalker was still just a boy, unaware of his true parentage, unaware of the galaxy-shattering destiny that awaited him.

The galaxy was vast, and at this moment, Luke was a mere child living on a moisture farm, his significance hidden from everyone except the Force itself—and Aaron. But finding him would not be easy. No one, not even the most sensitive Force users, knew of Luke's importance yet.

The Rebel Alliance wasn't looking for him, the Empire didn't care about him, and to most of the galaxy, Luke was just another farm boy from a backwater planet.

Aaron's ship descended toward the desert world, the hot, dry air palpable as he entered the atmosphere. The twin suns blazed overhead, casting a harsh light over the planet's barren surface. The Force thrummed quietly within him, pulling him toward his destination, but giving no clear answers. It was both a comfort and a frustration. He had come all this way, but what exactly was he supposed to do when he arrived?

Landing in the Dunes

Aaron landed his ship in a small, secluded canyon not far from the towns and settlements. He didn't want to attract attention just yet. His goal was to find Luke Skywalker, and the first step was to gather information. He could feel the presence of the boy through the Force—subtle, but growing stronger as he drew closer.

The sandstorm that kicked up around him as he exited his ship was a reminder that Tatooine was a harsh place. The wind howled through the canyons, the sand biting at his face as he adjusted his cloak to shield himself from the elements. His lightsaber was securely fastened at his waist, hidden beneath his robes, but Aaron had no intentions of drawing it unless absolutely necessary. This was not the time for confrontation—this was a time for subtlety.

He needed to find Luke. But to do that, he needed information. Tatooine was home to all sorts of individuals, many of them desperate and desperate people tended to talk. If he kept his ear to the ground and stayed in the shadows, the Force would guide him.

Mos Eisley: The Hive of Scum and Villainy

Aaron made his way to Mos Eisley, the famed cantina in the heart of the city—an area known for attracting all manner of people, most of whom had questionable morals. It was here that travelers from the farthest reaches of the galaxy passed through, exchanging goods, information, and occasionally, their lives.

The cantina was a fitting place for Aaron to begin his search. He was careful not to draw attention to himself as he stepped into the dim, smoky bar. The air was thick with chatter, punctuated by the occasional outburst from a rowdy patron. The smells of alien food, alcohol, and unwashed bodies filled his nostrils, but Aaron remained calm. He had been in worse places before.

He approached the bar, where a grizzled bartender, an alien with dark, leathery skin, gave him a wary look as he leaned in. "What can I get ya?" the bartender asked, his voice raspy from years of smoking.

"I'm looking for information," Aaron said quietly, his voice steady. "About a boy. A kid named Luke Skywalker. Have you heard of him?"

The bartender's expression flickered for a second. Just a second, but it was enough. He clearly recognized the name, though it meant little to Aaron.

"Luke Skywalker?" the bartender repeated.

"Nope. Can't say I have." His voice grew a little more guarded, and Aaron felt the Force shift slightly. The man was lying, but Aaron wasn't going to press him—at least not yet.

Aaron paid for a drink, pretending to be just another wanderer in the cantina. He scanned the room, his eyes darting over faces, trying to gauge who might know something useful.

As the night wore on, more people came and went. Bounty hunters, smugglers, traders—some were open with their dealings, others tried to hide their motives. It was the usual for Mos Eisley. But still, no one mentioned a boy named Luke Skywalker.

Aaron decided it was time to leave. The Force tugged at him, guiding him away from the cantina and toward the outskirts of the city, where the sand dunes stretched as far as the eye could see.

The Search Continues

The desert outside Mos Eisley was vast and treacherous, the landscape an endless sea of dunes and scattered rock formations. Aaron had spent enough time in the galaxy to know how easy it was to get lost in places like this. The Force would have to guide him if he was to find Luke.

As Aaron trekked through the hot winds and the shifting sands, he meditated on what he knew. Luke was a boy, living on Tatooine, raised by his aunt and uncle. But why here? Why this desolate planet? The answer, as it had always been, was a mystery.

But the Force was patient, and so was Aaron.

Days passed, and Aaron continued his quiet search. He asked around, talking to locals, paying close attention to any mention of a boy, a moisture farm, anything that might tie back to Luke. The Force pushed him forward, but it never revealed everything at once.

It was only after Aaron visited a nearby moisture farm and spoke with the owner—a gruff, weathered man named Owen Lars—that he finally caught a break. Owen was reluctant to speak much, but his eyes narrowed when Aaron mentioned the name "Luke."

The moisture farmer had said little, but enough to make Aaron certain that Luke was here, living under a different name. The boy wasn't yet aware of the importance of his lineage or of the galaxy's turbulent future. But Aaron knew he would be. The time was coming when the galaxy would need Luke Skywalker to rise against the Empire. And Aaron would be there, guiding him when the time was right.

The Promise of the Future

Aaron stood on the edge of the Dune Sea, looking out over the endless horizon. The twin suns were beginning to set, casting long shadows over the dry, cracked earth. He had found Luke, but the boy wasn't ready yet.

The Force, as always, would guide him. But it would be a long road. The future was uncertain, but one thing was clear—Luke Skywalker's destiny was far greater than any of them realized. And Aaron would be there, watching over him, waiting for the right moment to step in.

For now, Aaron knew that patience was his greatest ally. The Empire had no idea who Luke Skywalker truly was, and the galaxy was still unaware of the true threat of Darth Vader's bloodline.

But the boy's time would come.
