Chapter 32 - Chapter 4: Stars Collide

The 4v4 Battle Begins

The forcefields around the arena blazed to life,

trapping the six combatants inside.

The crowd howled, the announcers screamed.

And the Dawnbreakers smiled.

Matchups Explode:

Zaraya vs Ravix:

Ravix lunged with vicious precision, twin laser-blades carving arcs of red light.

Zaraya countered effortlessly — blocking with cosmic-charged forearms, dancing around him with dazzling footwork.

(She could crush him easily, but she wanted the crowd — and her crew — to shine.)

Jaxen vs Kyrras:

Kyrras fought dirty — hidden knives, hacking tech mid-fight, sabotage drones.

Jaxen scrambled, parried, dodged —

pulling every trick he'd ever learned just to survive.

He finally pulled off a desperation feint, stunning Kyrras with a flash-bomb and landing a brutal uppercut that floored his former partner.

But the effort left Jaxen staggering and drained.

Plo (and Drex) vs General Dorn:

Dorn's power armor shrugged off normal attacks —

but Plo wasn't aiming to hurt him.

She and Drex outmaneuvered him, teleporting around, jamming his systems, tripping him into his own power surges.

When Dorn finally fell, tangled in his own disabled armor,

Plo collapsed against Drex's side —

victorious, but completely exhausted.

Lyren vs Marruk Stonefist:

Marruk charged like a juggernaut.

Lyren didn't even flinch.

With a graceful wave of her hand, she summoned glittering chains of starlight —

wrapping the cyborg titan in binding spells woven from forgotten constellations.

The crowd gasped in awe as she calmly, elegantly disabled one of the station's most feared enforcers.

Victory Secured

One by one, the enemies fell.

And when Ravix finally dropped to one knee, battered and broken by Zaraya's final meteor-charged punch,

the match was called.

Dawnbreakers (and Lyren) — VICTORS.

The arena erupted in cheers.

The legend grew.

The galaxy watched.

Aftermath: Recovery

Back in the team lounge,

Jaxen lay sprawled across a bench, gasping.

Plo sat on Drex's back, head lolling, mumbling about energy conversion ratios.

"Well," Jaxen wheezed, "we're alive. Barely."

Lyren approached silently.

Without a word, she knelt,

touching their foreheads with her fingers —

whispering old words, soft as drifting snow.

A faint shimmer passed over them —

healing some of the worst bruises and burns.

But Lyren's magic was not limitless.

"You'll live," she said simply. "But you should not fight again today."

Jaxen gave a limp thumbs-up.

Plo promptly fell asleep against Drex's side.

Setting Up the Next Challenge

Zaraya stretched lazily, cracking her knuckles.

"So who's left to fight in the next round?" she asked, grinning.

Lyren looked at her with a small, knowing smile.

"We are."

The next match?

A showcase duel.

Zaraya vs Lyren.

For glory.

For fun.

For the final spell prize.

The galaxy would witness cosmic storm against ancient magic.

And the sparks would change everything
