Chapter 2 - The System’s Game

"So it's been three days since I regressed? I should call the system… But is it still here?" Suddenly a floating screen popped up in front of him. "System: Welcome back Sai!" "Yeah, yeah, welcome back whatever." Sai rolled his eyes and touched the floating screen to check his status. "Why did I regress again, System?" "System: I told you not to call me System! I have a name! It's Moon! M.O.O.N!" "Whatever Moon, so why did I regress again?"

"System: Obvious answer Sai. You died and failed to save your sister. 'Please take care of her' as if that will make Lucas take care of her and not kill her" "You are right about that Moon. So my sister died again in the end."

Sai was checking all his status on the screen. "So I'm currently 5 years old… My stats are low… Should I change route? The plot? The romance route is a bad decision. It's so cringey. I'm not into romance anyway… and I'm a boy… Why did I choose that? Just for my sister…"

"System: Sai Ashenford, are you ready to choose another path?" The system asked Sai while showing the choices for Sai. "System: Pick your next role Sai, maybe you'll succeed in saving your sister this time." The system showed the choices again on the screen.

"System: Pick your role: Crown Prince; Crown Princess; Oldest Sister; Assassin; Neglected Son; Normal Royalty; etc; Choose."

"Are you really making a five-year-old to choose?" Sai asks the system sarcastically. "System: …" "I'm just kidding. I've done this many times already."

"So it comes to this again… choosing a role that I don't want… can't I just live freely… this system… Moon keeps controlling my life… ever since that day"
