Chapter 2 - Sakthivel’s Journey to Las Vegas

Far away from the chaos of Las Vegas, in a small village nestled between the hills of Tamil Nadu, India, life flows with a rhythm as old as the soil itself. The sun rises over emerald fields, roosters crow, temple bells ring, and laughter echoes through narrow lanes. In this serene village lives Sakthivel, a spirited young man known for his humility, strength, and deep respect for tradition.

Sakthivel was orphaned at a young age. A tragic bus accident took the lives of his parents, Rajendran and Kavitha, leaving him in the care of his father's younger sister, Madhumitha. Unlike the harsh fate many orphans face, Sakthivel found love and guidance in her arms. Madhumitha, unmarried and fiercely independent, poured all her love into raising him. She taught him to be kind, yet brave; respectful, yet inquisitive; rooted, yet ambitious.

By day, Sakthivel works as a local electronics repairman and teaches science to village kids. By night, he studies global tech trends, biotech articles, and dreams of building a better life not just for himself, but for the entire village. He often visits the local temple, where he stares at the ancient eagle carvings—symbols of guardianship—and whispers, "One day, I'll fly too."

That day comes sooner than expected.

One evening, after returning from the town library, Sakthivel finds a letter addressed to him from the American Biotech Association, informing him that he has been selected for an internship at Ravichandran Industries—a research and tech company headquartered in Las Vegas, owned by none other than the legendary scientist Dr. Venkatesh Ravichandran. Sakthivel is stunned. The opportunity seems divine. Madhumitha, reading the letter with teary eyes, clasps his hands in hers.

"This is your fate, my child. But remember, not all that shines is gold. The world outside may dazzle you, but it's full of shadows."

In the days leading up to his departure, the village prepares a quiet farewell. His students bring handmade garlands, elders give blessings, and his friends cheer him on. On the final day, Madhumitha gives him a small pendant with an eagle feather inside—retrieved long ago from the hill temple. "For protection," she says. "Not from others. But from yourself… when you forget who you are."

At the airport, Sakthivel hugs her tightly.

"I'll return soon, Aunt. I'll make a better life for all of us."

Madhumitha nods, but her eyes betray worry.

As the flight lifts into the sky, Sakthivel gazes out the window, unaware that his journey is more than just a career leap—it's a collision course with fate. He doesn't know that the man he's going to work for is no longer entirely human. He doesn't know about Gangeyan.

And he certainly doesn't know that the blood of warriors flows in his own veins—blood that will soon be tested in fire and flight.
