"Can we hurry this up? I've got places to be and food to eat."
The words of a dark-haired youth in emerald green armor resounded within the tenebrous cave, his voice full of disinterest and exasperation.
With that, the young warrior put both hands on the haft of his greataxe. This axe in particular was different from other greataxes. From its gold accents to its emerald green, vitreous blades. He had gotten it after a particularly harrowing battle, which he would rather not think of, and it has since become his most prized weapon.
It seemed that every battle he fought using this particular weapon had been somewhat of an easy win. For this reason, he had a tendency to become a little overconfident when using it.
The young warrior hardened his gaze and tightened his grip on the haft of his newly seemingly lucky greataxe.
"Let us get this over with, you overgrown lizard."
Though speaking to a creature who did not speak English was a little odd, he did not seem to care. He always had a deep distaste for dragons for no particular reason, and as such, prided himself on being great at slaying them. Among other things…

A deafening roar reverberated through the lightless cavern, the albino creature noticeably angered by the presence of the trespassing human.
'Well, at least this won't be boring'
A slight smirk appeared on the face of the young man, and in the same moment the vitreous blade of the curly-haired warrior struck the reptilian giant on the side of its face, wounding it slightly, but mostly catching the giant off guard.
Avoiding a bat of one of its wings, the juvenile fighter raised his weapon once again, soon lowering it with incredible force. This time, leaving a deep gash in the dragon's tail. With that, another roar resounded in the darkness of the cavern.
'If that's all it takes to hurt you, this will be even easier than I thought!'
His confidence boosted somehow even higher than it was previously, the youth decided that this battle would be a good time to test out some tricks.
'Let's see just how much my new toy can handle.'
Halfway up the length of the dragon's tail, the young warrior heaved his weapon once again, this time aiming for one of the beast's four wings. A few seconds later, it was brought down, cutting off the wing at its base.
In the same second, the spiked scaly frill of the dragon's tail whipped at the head of the human with unbelievable speed. Luckily, he saw the retaliation coming and rolled in enough time to escape, while at the same time going for his true goal.
'It's time to try out a new move I've been thinking about.'
Usually, the young man wouldn't try such courageous moves on an opponent such as this, but he was feeling a bit courageous himself.
Transitioning from the previous dodge into a sprint of almost inhuman speed, he scaled the length of the dragon's back, weapon trailing blades down behind him.
'Let's get this over with..'
With reckless indifference, the juvenile warrior took a leap both figuratively and literally. Simultaneously, he raised the emerald weapon in an underhanded arc and brought it down on the axe's single spiked head, lodging it within the callous shell of the beast. Tightening his grip once more, he used the momentum from his jump to hoist himself closer to the head of the monster.
Rearing his dual-bladed prized possession once more, he took aim for the contrastingly bright off-white scales of the dragon's head.
All of this happening within mere seconds, the youth was sure he had caught the beast off guard with this particular attack. To his absolute dismay and soon-to-be horror, the head of the gargantuan beast whipped both upward and backward.
Within mere seconds, the young warrior's were met by nothing but countless fangs within a truly ginormous maw.
Time seemed as if it had been slowed down by some unknown force.
The young man refused to believe that it could be over. That it could end like this. He felt as if he still had his entire life ahead of him. He had been such a formidable force to be reckoned with, and now, he was about to become kibble for the likes of an overgrown reptile… as he would likely call it.
As he watched his surroundings fade into nothing but rows and rows of sharp, pallid dentures, he reflected on his earlier desires.
'Damn.. I guess I won't be eating that meal I had plann-'
His last thought was both cut off and drowned out by the sickening sound of bone crushing, and not a moment later, the sound of the innards of his skull being forced out from its once pristine shell.
