Chapter 5 - Ira's Downfall (3)

Lucius holds the position of High Priest of the South.

This doesn't mean he's an Inquisitor, Paladin, or Battle Priest—it means he's a High Priest.

So, what is a High Priest? In *Heroine Legend*, Lucius is only shown smashing monster skulls with a mace, so his role as a High Priest isn't fully explored. But in reality, a regional High Priest holds absolute authority over the clergy in their area.

They control the appointments and transfers of priests and nuns, handle their grievances, and mediate disputes. To put it bluntly, if you didn't care about consequences, you could sleep with every nun in the southern region.

Why am I bringing this up?

Because using this power makes it incredibly easy to block that disgusting NTR creep. After giving Ira a proper "punishment," I used my authority as High Priest of the South to summon Siri to my estate the next day.

**Name:** Siri

**Occupation:** Nun of the Southern Branch of the Grand Celestial Church

**Affinity:** 78

**Level:** 10

**Stats**

Strength: 5

Agility: 10

Intelligence: 24

Luck: 10

**Traits**

- **Skilled Accountant**: A talent who has managed the finances of an organization for years. Efficiently organizes the estate's finances.

- **Carpentry**: Can craft tools using wood.

- **Naivety**: Devoted to her faith, she knows nothing of the world. Teach her patiently.

Siri's stats were far better than expected. Managing both the branch's finances and her family's budget alone made her Accountant trait predictable. But the unexpected Carpentry trait and her naive nature were surprising.

Plus, her affinity toward me was over 70. I don't know the maximum affinity in this game, but 78 for a childhood friend suggests it's probably 100.

"Oh, um, hello, Lord…"

Siri hesitated, bowing her head. She lifted her skirt slightly, revealing her white ankles. Her neatly groomed orange hair cascaded down like a waterfall as she bowed. I wanted to bury my face in her shimmering locks, but I held back. Sitting like a proper lord, I began to admire her.

This was my first time seeing Siri since the NTR incident in the game, and she was truly beautiful. Her large green eyes evoked a protective instinct, and her delicate features seemed to say, "I know nothing."

Her chest was a bit small, but compared to Ira's oversized assets, it was average for an adult woman. I hadn't seen her hips yet. Nun skirts are so voluminous that even a child wearing one looks like a fashion model.

"Nice to see you, Siri. How have you been lately?"

"Uh… I… yes…"

Siri hesitated but nodded. She couldn't possibly be doing well, but she lied. Her lord kept harassing her, her family was drowning in debt that her nun's salary couldn't cover, and her church was in financial trouble due to low donations. With the Grand Celestial Church's headquarters nearby, donations rarely went to her local church.

The wealthy donated directly to my branch to gain my favor, and the poor couldn't contribute much. But I could solve both Siri's debt and the donation issue. First, I planned to transfer Siri to my estate. With staff reductions due to financial strain, there were plenty of vacant rooms. Housing Siri would be easy.

As for her family, they were farmers, so I'd give them some land. Their debt was insignificant by estate standards, just burdensome for commoners.

"Actually, I'm planning to transfer you here."

"Transfer… me?"

"Yes. You and your family will move to my estate."

"But I'd need the lord's approval…"

"No need. It's a High Priest's order. Siri, stay here for now. I'll send someone to your family."

There truly was no need. Lords couldn't interfere with a High Priest's transfers. That's why no one dared touch Lucius before getting his marriage approval. Messing with an unmarried nun would legally ruin you.

"Wait, but… if I leave, there's no one to handle the church's accounting."

Nonsense. A church that big couldn't rely on just Siri. Transfer records show she's only been here three years. Someone else handled it before, and they'll manage. If not, I'll request an accountant from headquarters. The church doesn't need Siri; it needs an accountant.

I stood and gently gripped Siri's shoulder. She flinched, her body tensing.

"Siri, has the lord been bothering you?"

"Uh… I…"

Even naive Siri understood social dangers. She worried about speaking up. Despite being childhood friends, we were now a High Priest and a nun, neighbors and lord. Every word could cause trouble, so she was cautious.

"I know everything, Siri. I'm here to save you. Don't worry."

"Save… me?"

Siri's shoulders were slender, like they'd snap under pressure. Gripping them firmly while thrusting would feel amazing. Her skirt brushed against me, making a suggestive sound. I carefully released her and stepped back.

The Grand Celestial Church's perfume on her made me dizzy. I nodded.

"I need your help with work."

"Help? I'm not that skilled."

Siri shook her head, her skirt swaying. Watching her, I felt a fetish for Grand Celestial Church nuns growing. I wanted to lift her ankle-length skirt.

"My estate lacks an accountant. I'd like you to handle it. Since estate work ties into church affairs, I can't hire an outsider."

"Oh… okay, I understand."

Siri reluctantly nodded. It truly was unavoidable. If she had complaints, her only option was to become a High Priest herself.

"And Siri…"

"Yes, Lord?"

"Call me Lucius, like when we were kids."

"What?"

Siri's face turned bright red as she stumbled back. After a moment's hesitation, she shook her head.

"No! That would be blasphemy…"

"Alright. Let me know when you're ready. I'll wait, Siri."

"Okay…"

Siri nodded, her face still flushed. The game doesn't show affinity changes, but her reaction made it clear.

**Name:** Siri

**Occupation:** Nun of the Southern Branch of the Grand Celestial Church

**Affinity:** 82

This one will fall soon.

The next day, the front gate was chaotic. I checked on Ira first, ensuring she hadn't bitten her tongue. A body lay covered in the courtyard, being handed over to its family.

I asked,

"Robin, who died?"

"Karl, the warehouse thief. We interrogated him this morning, but he didn't wake up after a few slaps. He was already dead, so we're handing him over to his family."

Robin must've smashed Karl's head against the stairs until he died. To Robin, it was this morning, but I'm sure Karl was dead the moment he was dragged to the basement. Poor Karl. I'll mourn him in my heart.

"Did you explain the cause of death to his family?"

"Not yet…"

"Tell them he died while resisting arrest for attempted theft. Don't mention the stairs."

"Understood."
