Chapter 39 - Eve (3)

The trading city of Esta—a hub of maritime commerce and a den of criminals. I entered the city, leading a carriage bearing the crest of the Peta estate. The guard confirmed my identity as Peta Lucius by examining the crest and my appearance.

"Uh, could you wait just a moment? The guildmaster insists on welcoming you personally..."

The guard, sounding awkward, asked me to wait. I leaned back in the carriage, casually observing the bustling city. The streets were alive with activity. A fishmonger, his belly spilling out of his shirt, scratched his gut and yawned. A few flies clung to the fish, only to be flattened by a swatter.

Stray cats roamed the streets, gnawing on mouse necks or chewing fish heads in the shadows of seafood stalls. Despite the clear sky, their eyes gleamed with ferocity. Every alley reeked of rotting fish entrails.

The city's streets were a mix of filth and glamour. Beneath the grime, polished signs hung, creating a bizarre atmosphere. My carriage seemed to draw curious glances from passersby. A few merchants approached, trying to hawk their wares.

"Hey, care to buy some jewelry made from dried fish skin? It's all the rage these days."

His words reminded me of Ira asking me to bring back seashell jewelry from the coast. I memorized the shop's location and waved the merchants away. Entertaining their pitches is like poking holes in a poison barrel—give them an inch, and they'll take a mile.

"Ah, Lord Peta."

As I pondered what Ira and Siri might like, the guildmaster approached. He was a man with a large purple turban and a bushy mustache, his nose so swollen it made his face look enormous. I stepped out of the carriage and offered a handshake. The guildmaster bowed deeply, as if my gesture were a great honor.

"Are you the guildmaster? I received your letter. A pirate named Eve is causing trouble at sea, you said."

"Yes. She's a real piece of work, wreaking havoc in specific areas. Shamefully, our navy can't catch her, so we've recently formed a task force."

"Was the hero captured while part of that task force?"

"No, um... well, according to rumors..."

The guildmaster hesitated mid-sentence. I, having stepped out to walk beside him, urged him to continue.

"What is it? Guildmaster."

"Uh... they say the hero was searching for a potion to grow male genitalia and got captured while roaming the seas."

"Oh... really? Does such a thing even exist?"

I suddenly felt a chill. Given this is an erotic game, couldn't there be a potion that turns someone into a futanari, even if not a man? What if the hero comes back with female parts and... that thing? No matter what, a futanari is just too much.

The guildmaster shook his head.

"Such an item doesn't exist. If I've never heard of it, it can't be found in Esta. I don't know who spread that filthy rumor, but now perverts with bizarre fetishes keep coming to Esta, causing chaos."

"Perverts with bizarre fetishes, huh? That's amusing."

"Don't even get me started. One guy wanted to grow five penises shaped like an anemone, and another planned to feed his wife a potion so she'd sleep with her sister-in-law. These lunatics are all out at sea, searching for this genital-growing potion. Can you imagine the city's atmosphere?"

The world is vast, and madmen abound. In this depraved world, I'm almost normal, sticking to vanilla sex. I asked,

"So, what exactly does this pirate Eve do? Trade seems unaffected, so she's not targeting merchant ships?"

"She leaves merchant ships alone but kills people."

"A murderer, then."

Just like in the original story. Eve has no greed for money but an insatiable lust for killing men. She'd slaughter any man she encountered at sea and rape every woman she met.

This made Eve a target to either recruit as a companion or capture for a reward in Esta. Since Eve's abilities were useless outside her terrain, the standard late-game strategy was to capture and sell her.

"Yes, she's utterly ruthless. She doesn't touch flagged merchant ships or fishermen, but if adventurers or mercenaries enter her territory, she kills them instantly."

"Terrifying."

"Once, a body washed ashore. You should've seen it, Lord Peta. Castrated alive, writhing in agony before dying."

"Ugh..."

"The flesh... torn like it was clawed by fingernails..."

"No need to describe it further."

I didn't want to hear more about castration. I'm here to kill a lesbian porn star, not film a torture scene. But as I followed the guildmaster, I realized I hadn't been told where we were going.

"By the way, where are we headed?"

"Ah, I want to show you something briefly."

Hopefully, it's not the castrated body.

We arrived at a building filled with eerie wails. The guildmaster glanced around before gripping the door handle.

"Lord Peta, our official request is only to rescue the hero, but may I ask one more favor?"

His expression was grim. The door opened, revealing a grotesque scene inside.

"Wow."

It was hell on earth. Naked women lay strewn everywhere, laughing maniacally and masturbating. One rubbed her genitals against a pillar; another, bound to a bed, drooled incessantly. Once beautiful women now lay in grotesque disarray.

"This is horrifying."

I dislike this genre. Is this the hell of the lust-crazed? Their obscenity was so explicit it was repulsive. As I grimaced, the guildmaster spoke.

"These women were victims of that pirate Eve. She castrates men to death and rapes women until they lose their minds. My wife is among them."

He pointed to a woman in the distance, frantically rubbing herself and laughing grotesquely. By now, I couldn't help but worry about the hero's fate. If Eve's technique drives people mad, has the hero already fallen to her?

Even if the Elf Queen tolerates same-sex marriage, she wouldn't approve of marrying a madwoman. And could pregnant Erina fully accept A.A.'s state? The guildmaster gripped my hand, his expression somber.

"Since falling to that pirate... my family's life has been ruined. Lord Peta, if possible, please kill that pirate. Cut off her head and display it in this city."

His eyes burned with hatred. I, too, looked sadly between the guildmaster and his wife. Despite her good figure and pretty face, her rolled-back eyes and drooling left me unaroused.

Back at the guildmaster's arranged lodgings, my mind was tangled. Not over whether to kill Eve, but because if the hero had fallen, the problem was far worse. The hero had been turned into a woman, and I was responsible.

Thus, since I made the hero a woman, ownership of the hero was mine. Pirate Eve had essentially NTR'd me.

I don't forgive NTR, especially not lesbian NTR. I stroked my mace, lost in thought on how to deal with her.

If the hero couldn't beat her, I stood no chance.

The next morning, the guildmaster sent me off to sea with the task force. The meeting point was in the middle of the ocean. The weather was pleasant, the sky clear—perfect for sailing. The sea breeze was refreshing, and seagulls cried in the distance.

I boarded the ship, praying the hero hadn't fallen. If she had, I'd have to fight Eve to the death. When Esta was just a dot on the horizon, a small island appeared.

"That's Pirate Island. Sailors avoid it."

A crewman explained. Contrary to its name, the island had no skeletal remains or shipwrecks, just an unnamed, deserted land.

As we drew closer, a large ship circling the island came into view. The ship's stern bore a siren figure, with a black pirate flag flying.

"That's Eve's ship."

"Yes, it is."

I gripped my mace, eyeing the approaching ship. At the bow stood a red-haired woman—a single eye, tall stature, and large, firm breasts immediately caught my attention.

Having played the game, I knew this was Eve.

Behind her, bound and gagged, was A.A., who smiled upon seeing me. Surprisingly, Eve hadn't touched her yet.

"Which of you is Peta Lucius?"

"I am Peta Lucius."

Eve tilted her head at the ship's bow, her gaze arrogant yet beautiful. She studied me for a long moment before frowning.

"You're really the southern high priest? Your eyes are too lecherous—even worse than the perverts who come here."

"That's rude."

I mentally checked her stats, gauging if I could win.
