Chapter 3 - Chapter 3: A Throne Amidst Ashes

God Valley, After the Shock

The once-mighty island of God Valley trembled under the weight of Max D. Revenant's power. The dust of battle had not yet settled, but the battlefield had changed entirely. Pirates and Marines were no longer focused on each other—they were staring at him.

Some were still on their knees, gasping for air. Others lay unconscious from the shockwave. Trees were shattered, the ground was cracked in spiderweb patterns, and a deep silence had followed Max's declaration.

But amidst this silence, three things were now certain:

1. Max D. Revenant was no ordinary being.

2. Rocks D. Xebec, for the first time, felt challenged.

3. The World Government, watching from afar, began to panic.

---

Atop the Hill: The Figure Watching

Far beyond the battlefield, hidden deep in the clouds above the island, a translucent image hovered—Imu, the shadow monarch of the World Government. Beside them, five Elder Stars (the Gorosei) watched the unfolding events with deep concern.

"Who is this Max D. Revenant?" the bald elder muttered, his eyes narrowed behind golden-rimmed glasses.

"He's not from any branch. Not from any island we control. No records. No bounty. Nothing," the elder with the long beard replied, brows furrowed.

Imu didn't speak. They merely observed, their fingers clutching the armrest of the throne hidden in Pangea Castle.

"We must erase him," whispered another elder. "Before the world hears him again."

Imu raised a single finger. The room froze. A decision had been made.

Back on the Island: The Lion and the Ghost

Rocks D. Xebec stepped through the shattered battlefield, cracking debris underfoot. His face twisted with a rare mixture of anger and intrigue. His pride wouldn't allow him to back down.

"You show up, explode half the damn island, and start shouting about being some kind of king?" Rocks snarled, his Conqueror's Haki flaring instinctively. "You're either insane—or you're everything I've been waiting for."

Max turned slowly, his gaze calm and unshaken.

"I am what the world needs," he said. "And what it fears."

Rocks studied him, reading him like a predator reading prey. "You think you're the one who'll take down the World Government? I've tried for years, boy. You saw what they did to me. They're rats in the shadows—but they're powerful."

Max nodded. "And you've failed because you chased chaos. I will rule by strategy. You have strength. I have a system."

---

The System's Guidance

Inside Max's mind, a cold blue interface flickered.

> SYSTEM ACTIVATED.

Main Quest: Topple the World Government. – Subtask: Gain influence over major pirate forces.

– Subtask: Save Rocks D. Xebec from defeat at God Valley.

– Subtask: Establish foundation for Supreme Kingdom.

New Skill Unlocked: "Tactical Domain" – A mental map of real-time strategic options within a 10 km radius.

A glowing web lit up inside Max's mind. Troop positions, weak points in enemy formations, morale levels—it all became visible. He could see the battlefield like a general playing chess.

---

Max's Offer to Rocks

"You'll die today if I don't intervene," Max said bluntly. "Garp and Roger are inbound. You don't know it yet, but this battle isn't yours to win."

Rocks froze. "What do you mean 'Roger'?"

Max smiled faintly. "Gol D. Roger. He'll come not for you—but to stop what you'll become. He and Garp will form an alliance for this one day, just to erase you. History will not remember this truth... unless I change it."

Rocks' hand tightened around his weapon. The wind howled between them.

"You want me to follow you?" he asked.

"No," Max replied. "I want you to survive. Fight with me once. Then do what you will. But remember—your legacy is mine to rewrite."

For the first time in his life, Rocks D. Xebec… laughed.

---

Elsewhere: Marines Prepare the Kill Order

On a battleship just offshore, Monkey D. Garp clenched his fists. Beside him, a younger Sengoku studied the battlefield through binoculars.

"That kid," Sengoku muttered. "He's not on any bounty list."

"He's dangerous," Garp said. "Too calm. That blast he used—felt like the sky was going to split."

"Should we wait for Roger?" Sengoku asked.

Garp shook his head. "We go now. If that kid is siding with Rocks, then we're facing something even worse than the Rocks Pirates."

As their ship approached the beach, the Marines loaded every cannon. Their orders were clear: Destroy Max D. Revenant. Annihilate Rocks D. Xebec.

---

Max's First Strategy: Turn Chaos into Order

As the Marines began their final approach, Max's Tactical Domain expanded. He spotted hidden World Government agents embedded in the trees. He saw pirate crews beginning to panic. He saw weaknesses—and he exploited them.

He dashed through the battlefield, not with brute strength but with surgical precision. He severed key enemy lines, disrupted formations, and funneled combatants into traps. Each move was exact. Each action bent the flow of battle to his will.

His goal wasn't to win the battle.

His goal was to redirect its ending.

Saving Rocks D. Xebec

As Garp landed a devastating punch toward Rocks, Max intercepted it, catching the blow midair.

A shockwave rang out like thunder, splitting the cliff below them in half. Garp's eyes widened. No one had ever stopped his punch like that.

"You shouldn't be here yet," Max said quietly.

Garp grinned, impressed. "Then make me leave."

Max unleashed a pulse of energy, not as destructive as before—but targeted, layered with his new skill: Pressure Pulse. The force knocked Garp back, and Max stood protectively in front of the stunned Rocks D. Xebec.

The World Watches

Across the seas, in the New World, the underworld, and the kingdoms that bent the knee to the Celestial Dragons, reports came pouring in.

> Unknown warrior saves Rocks D. Xebec.

Declares intent to destroy the World Government.

Claims title: "Supreme King."

In Mary Geoise, the Celestial Dragons were in an uproar. In Pangea Castle, Imu's fingers gripped the Eternal Throne with silent fury.

"This one is different," whispered an Elder Star. "He's not Roger. He's not Xebec. He's not even Dragon. He's something we've never prepared for."

---

The Last Line

As night fell on God Valley, fires burned and screams echoed into the dark. But Max stood tall above the battlefield, cape fluttering, sword resting on his shoulder.

Behind him, Rocks D. Xebec sat wounded but alive.

Below, Garp and Sengoku regrouped. The Navy had failed—for now.

And Max's voice, amplified by the system, rang out once more:

> "I am Max D. Revenant. This world has rotted under the rule of tyrants. I will burn the old thrones and raise a new one of my own. I am not a pirate. Not a Marine. Not a revolutionary.

I am the King who comes last. The one who brings order through fire.

I am the Supreme King."
