Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: What to Do If You Transmigrate to the Wrong World?

Brain storage location.

DIO storage location.

...

New York, inside a small street-side kebab shop.

"Shawarma, oh shawarma, oh shawarma..."

A girl, about eleven or twelve years old, wearing a shop assistant's uniform, hummed a song behind the counter. Her hands moved swiftly — slicing meat, scooping fries, squeezing sauce, rolling the wrap, and bagging it — all in one seamless flow.

Her speed was so fast that her hands almost left afterimages.

"Here's yours, take it."

She handed the finished food to the customer in front of her, while her other hand swept across the counter, collecting scattered coins with practiced ease.

"Next!" she called out in fluent English.

The next person rattled off a stream of Spanish.

Hearing this, the girl frowned.

"Let's speak… English!"

The line outside the shop stretched long, but the girl worked even faster, leaving onlookers amazed.

Everyone noticed her incredible hand speed, but no one saw the cutlery floating under the counter, slicing the meat on its own. Or the fries that jumped into the fryer by themselves, and the dough that danced through the air before landing perfectly cooked.

As the sun dipped below the horizon…

"Phew…"

The girl let out a long sigh of relief. She had finally served the last customer.

"Let me see how much I've improved with the Confundus Charm and Levitation Charm… Yep, definitely better!"

She smiled to herself, pleased.

"Hermione!"

A middle-aged man wearing a tall chef's hat appeared beside her.

"You worked hard today too. Here's your pay."

He handed her an envelope.

She took it without looking, tucked it away, and flashed a sunny, adorable smile.

"Thanks a lot, Uncle! Bye-bye!"

Waving cheerfully, she skipped away, bathed in the glow of the setting sun.

...

That's right — the girl's name was Hermione.

Hermione Jane Granger.

A transmigrator.

Her name before crossing worlds didn't matter anymore.

Because there was a much bigger issue.

"Why did I go from being a regular handsome guy to a twelve-year-old little Hermione?!

And even if I did become Hermione Granger, shouldn't I have ended up in the Harry Potter world? So why did I drop into the Marvel Universe?!"

Hermione Granger frantically rubbed her cheeks, staring at her reflection in the mirror — the same face as Emma Watson's Hermione from her previous life. She sighed heavily.

She had liked Harry Potter back then, sure — but she'd never imagined actually becoming a character from the series after waking up one day.

"I liked this character, but I didn't want to become her!"

Just as she was coming to terms with her new identity — excitedly waiting for her Hogwarts letter and her owl — reality hit her like a truck.

This wasn't London.

It was… New York.

When she saw a Stark Industries billboard with Robert Downey Jr.'s face plastered on it, her brain short-circuited.

In her memory, she lived in 1990s London with her parents. There was no Stark, no Avengers.

And she had just gotten her Hogwarts letter!

Which meant… on that side, she really was in the Harry Potter world.

But here in the Marvel Universe?

It was 2008, and she didn't even legally exist.

No birth records. No identity. Nothing.

A completely undocumented person!

After carefully sorting through her memories, Hermione Granger reached an obvious conclusion:

She transmigrated correctly — but landed in the wrong world.

But thankfully…

Her thoughts shifted, and her consciousness sank inward.

There, deep in her mind, an ancient hardcover book appeared — ornate and intricate, just like the classic magical tomes in fiction.

At her mental command, the book slowly opened. Lines of text and several icons appeared on the glowing page.

[Hermione Jane Granger]

[Magic Level: lv1 (132/1000)]

Seven category icons were lined up neatly:

[Charms]

[Black Magic]

[Ancient Magic]

[Alchemy]

[Potions]

[Magical Creatures]

[Curiosities]

Tapping the first icon mentally, the book flipped to a new page showing her learned spells:

[Charms:]

[Levitation Charm lv1 (453/1000)]

[Repairing Spell lv1 (148/1000)]

[Fire-Making Charm lv1 (65/1000)]

[Confundus Charm lv1 (388/1000)]

… and so on.

The second icon:

[Black Magic]

[Dark Harvest (Talent): Harvest souls to gain energy]

The pages for the other five categories were blank — for now.

Yes, this mysterious magical book was her golden cheat.

From the moment she discovered it, Hermione Granger knew:

It could record and scan spells, even copy magic she saw others using, and let her learn them directly.

The more she used a spell, the more her proficiency grew, and her magical power increased along with it.

When a spell's experience maxed out, it could even evolve to a stronger version.

It was simple, but powerful — like something ripped straight out of a game system.

A true transmigrator's golden finger.

In theory, she could master any magic without limit.

Ancient Magic, Alchemy, Potions — they all followed the same rules.

As for Magical Creatures and Curiosities? That part remained a mystery.

The gods of transmigration clearly favored people like her — especially someone who, in another life, had made a painful sacrifice.

Her golden finger was particularly overpowered.

Because in both the Marvel and Harry Potter worlds, power was everything.

Ordinary people here lived normal-looking lives, but in truth?

Superhumans, aliens, and dimension-hopping invaders lurked everywhere.

This Earth was the center of a cosmic storm, and any random passerby might vanish in the next big catastrophe.

That magic book was her lifeline — her anchor in this dangerous world.

It gave her the confidence to survive.

"It's just… I still have too few spells unlocked. And the other categories are blank, so I can't even start filling out my collection yet…"

Hermione muttered, flipping through the pages mentally.

Her gaze paused on the only active skill in [Black Magic]:

[Dark Harvest]

The book's explanation was chillingly short:

Harvest souls to gain energy.

"That… doesn't sound like a good thing," Hermione muttered, narrowing her eyes at the sinister-looking icon.

No other details were provided, but a suspicion was already forming in her mind.

"I'll have to test this at some point. But right now… school should be starting soon on that side. It's time to leave."

With a thought, she turned to the last page of the magic book.

Two icons appeared:

One was a large capital M.

The other was a stylized castle.

The M icon was greyed out.

The castle gleamed in full color.

Focusing her mind, Hermione selected the castle.

Instantly, a wave of dizziness washed over her, like being pulled through a whirlpool.

As the world spun and twisted around her, Hermione Granger closed her eyes — and opened them again in a brand-new place.
