Chapter 3 – The Playlist Confession
The classroom buzzed with chatter as students filed in after lunch break. Yuna tapped her pencil on her notebook, pretending to focus, but her eyes flicked toward the seat beside the window—Liam's seat.
He walked in, a little late, earphones still tucked in. His bag was slung carelessly over one shoulder, and he gave a small nod as he passed by. Yuna's heart did a tiny somersault.
"Why does he look like a walking playlist?" she whispered to herself, then mentally facepalmed.
"Hey," Liam said suddenly, sliding into his seat. "You like music, right?"
Yuna blinked, startled. "Yeah. A lot."
He hesitated, pulled out one earbud, and offered it to her.
"Want to listen? I made this playlist. Kinda weird, but... I think you'd like it."
Yuna stared at the earbud like it was made of gold. Her fingers shook just slightly as she took it.
The music started—soft guitar strums, a melody that felt like a late summer evening. Warm, calm… like him.
As the song played, he looked at her and smiled, "The first song is my favorite."
Yuna, suddenly very aware of how close they were sitting, nodded quietly. "Mine too… now."
Their eyes met, and it was like the world outside the classroom went quiet.
And just for a second, it felt like the song was made for this exact moment.
