Chapter 6 - The Taming Begins ||

"The goddamn bitch!" Sigewuf cursed, slamming his room door shut. His expression remained cold and impenetrable.

He strode towards the silverware table, pouring a bottle of whiskey into his shot glass. He gulped it down quickly, some of the liquid tracing a path through his thin beard. Pounding the shot glass onto the table, it shattered with a sharp thud.

Broken pieces lay scattered everywhere, with some fragments digging into his palm. He pulled each shard out, wincing from the pain, though each wound healed with remarkable speed. His rage intensified with every passing second. He knocked the whiskey bottle onto the floor, the ring on his index finger leaving a crack before it even landed.

"How could she!" He screamed into the empty air.

A knock then sounded at the door. The only one who would dare approach was Beta Roxan.

"Is everything alright?" Roxan inquired from the other side of the door.

Sigewuf turned the handle, pushing the door open just wide enough, his eyes scanning the room. "Is everything okay?" His deep baritone voice echoed through the space.

"The damned slut!" He spat, his voice thick with contempt.

"Camille?" Roxan's brow arched in question, his own irritation beginning to surface.

Sigewuf scoffed, offering no further explanation. He desired her broken, utterly smashed, like the shattered bottle on the floor. Yet, he needed her. He needed her, especially now, with his ultimate goal so close.

"Need me to take care of her?" Roxan asked, his lips pressed tightly together.

With a dismissive wave of his hand, Sigewuf replied, "She doesn't require that much attention. I merely gave her a little tea." A slight smile lifted his upper lip.

"I'll send Karren to clean this up." Roxan's gaze lingered on Sigewuf for a moment before he departed.

She appeared swiftly, trembling with fear as she swept up the broken glass from the floor.

He mind-linked Beta Roxan: "Send Lex to my room." He urgently needed something to quell the turbulent emotions raging within him.

Within five minutes, Gamma Lex arrived, a sturdy, ruddy-faced, and handsome figure.

"Send me one of the girls," Sigewuf ordered, "and keep a close watch on her so she doesn't attempt anything foolish."

They had picked girls from various packs, each time hoping one would turn out to be her, but each girl had either turned out to be a shifter, hunter, or merely werewolves, not the one with the pure-blood he desperately sought.

He had resorted to treating them as mere playthings for pleasure, even snapping off the head of one from the Night Riders pack when she had tried to escape. Lex had found her, and as a reward for his service, Sigewuf had given her to Lex and Roxan to use as they wished, ordering Roxan to kill her once they were done. The ungrateful wretch.

He sighed, turning to find her standing there. "Adina," he grinned sheepishly, tugging at a strand of hair at the edge of his mouth. He found himself preferring her to the others.

"Come," Sigewuf beckoned her. "Kneel before your king." The command was sharp, his eyes abruptly shifting to a darker shade of green.

Adina obeyed, her ripped gown revealing several layers of her flesh marked by the dark indentations where canines had bitten.

"Suck my feet," he ordered, his tone causing her trembling hands to drop to her sides as she pulled each toe into her mouth.

A deep moan escaped his lips as his eyes closed. Tomorrow, Camille would be his to finally tame.

****Roxan****

He drifted off to sleep, leaving Adina in her helpless state, sucking his toes, until Beta Roxan entered and found her head still bowed, her lips covering his toes. He instructed her to return to the special quarters. There was no need for him to follow; she was intelligent enough to understand the consequences of attempting to escape.

Bowing her head, avoiding eye contact, she left. He could see her from his peripheral vision wiping away the tears streaming down her face.

Moving towards the king-sized bed, he pulled the mattress over Sigewuf. Shutting the door behind him, he realized he also needed some rest before the first light of dawn appeared. Tomorrow promised to be a busy day.

Moving around to ensure everything was in order before retiring for the night, he paused, staring at the door adorned with the glowing amethyst. He felt an urge to double-check but froze in his tracks. Sigewuf had explicitly warned everyone, except Karren, to stay away from the room. He turned and descended the stairs to his room on the lower floor of the mansion.

Sleep was brief, abruptly ended by a frantic Karren knocking on his door as if an imminent danger loomed outside.

"Come in," his voice rasped with sleepiness.

She was breathing too rapidly, making it difficult to understand her words. "The L. L.una... gone..."

Adrenaline surged through his senses. "Speak up!" he snarled, his annoyance escalating.

Her lips trembled uncontrollably. "L. Lu...na... I can't find her..." she blurted out, her heart pounding audibly in his ears.

"How?" he demanded, gripping her throat. She felt feather-light in his grasp. "Who can't you find?" he growled.

"The new luna," she choked out, her face beginning to turn blue as if she was about to pass out.

He pushed her aside roughly, nearly causing her to stumble from the force of his shove, and raced upstairs. He stood before the door bearing the gemstone. Sigewuf had claimed the amethyst held a spell that would prevent her from leaving the room.

"So much for stopping her from escaping. Such a waste," he muttered to himself.

He inhaled sharply and pushed the door open, only to be met by the cold air from the open window grazing his skin. She was gone!

Goddammit! Why did she have to attempt this? He knew she possessed a stubborn streak, but running away? What knowledge of the Northern district did she even think she had? He summoned Gamma Lex and several pack fighters to initiate a search for her.

Now, the difficult task of relaying the news to Sigewuf was what he had to get to..

Returning to his room for a quick moment, he then headed directly to Sigewuf's. The knock on the door took longer than expected to be answered.

"Get away from there! Fool!" Sigewuf bellowed from inside the room.

"It's me," Roxan called back.

A grumpy "come in" followed seconds later.

"You must have something of significant importance to disturb my sleep," he snorted.

"Good morning, Sigewuf."

"I'm listening," he said, moving to settle into his armchair.

"We have a bit of a situation," Roxan announced, his jaw tense with apprehension.

Sigewuf sat up straighter, a dangerous glint appearing in his eyes.

Roxan exhaled sharply. "We can't find the girl."

Sigewuf paused, his finger circling the ring on his finger suddenly still. His expression darkened considerably.

"Where is she?" His voice was almost a roar.

"We don't know yet, but Lex and some pack warriors are already out searching."

"Find her and bring her to me," he growled, causing the furniture with loose balance to tremble slightly.

Roxan bowed and left.

Sharp claws appeared from Sigewuf's nails as he scraped the surface of the chair. "I'm coming for you, princess," he voiced through gritted teeth
