Chapter 2 - Chapter 2: The Shock Release Kekkei Genkai – Awakening the Bloodline Limit

In the end, even though deep down he felt it was impossible, Shigure still gritted his teeth and swallowed the thing that looked like a Devil Fruit!

One second... two seconds...

No change occurred in his body.

"It doesn't seem like a poisonous weird fruit, but... it doesn't seem to have granted any special powers either."

Shigure stood there with a slightly disappointed expression. He couldn't tell what kind of power the fruit held. After all, he'd been in this world for quite some time, and his memories were a bit hazy.

Up to this point, he hadn't felt any sort of power awaken. It seemed like it was just a sudden inspiration, and the fruit had randomly grown into that shape.

"Oh well."

Shaking his head, Shigure returned to the wooden post where he had been training earlier, lit a lamp, and prepared to resume his routine of 500 straight punches.

However, just as he clenched his fist and prepared to strike the post, his expression suddenly shifted in shock.

"What is this?!"

At that moment, he felt a faint stream of chakra flowing through his body, and at the same time, a barely visible white halo appeared around his fist.

In the next instant, Shigure realized something.

A look of uncontrollable excitement lit up his face.

"This... could this be the fruit's ability?"

"Wait, this white halo—it looks so familiar. Could it be...?"

Amidst his excitement, Shigure's eyes revealed a hint of disbelief, as if he had just won a jackpot from the heavens. Though the white halo was faint, it had to be the manifestation of his new power!

With that thought, Shigure eagerly punched the wooden post without hesitation.

Buzz!

The moment his fist neared the post, the faint white halo suddenly burst.

Crack!

A soft sound echoed from the point of contact, like ice or glass shattering, and thin cracks spread out through the air.

It was strange.

The air itself seemed to fracture like a broken mirror.

Then, a shockwave suddenly erupted and struck the wooden post, which had already been worn down from Shigure's past training.

Crack!

The post was forcibly split from its base!

Withdrawing his fist, Shigure could no longer contain his shock.

It was just as he thought—this was the power of one of the strongest fruits in the One Piece world... the Gura Gura no Mi!

Anyone who consumed the Gura Gura no Mi could create vibrations at will—shockwaves in the air, earthquakes, even tsunamis. If fully developed, it was a power capable of destroying the world.

Right now, Shigure wasn't even concerned with how a Devil Fruit ended up in the Naruto world. Clenching his fist in pure joy, he stared at the faint white glow with a mixture of amazement and excitement.

Who cares if I can't use ninjutsu?!

That time has passed.

Finally calming down, Shigure muttered to himself.

"Even though I've gained the power of the Gura Gura no Mi... it seems a bit different from what I imagined."

With a serious look, he approached a large tree nearby.

Since the wooden post was destroyed, he could only use this tree to test further.

"Let's try this."

Muttering quietly, Shigure clenched his fist tightly again.

Buzz!

The white glow returned—faint but present.

In the next instant, he swung his fist toward the trunk.

Boom!

A loud sound rang out, though his fist didn't actually make contact with the tree. It stopped a few inches short, yet Shigure felt as if he had struck something solid.

This was the Gura Gura no Mi's true power—distorting the air as if it were tangible matter. If mastered, it could even tear space itself apart!

Crack!

Thin fractures spread through the air, as if the very space was shattering.

Though the cracks were small, the tree—thick enough for a man to hug—trembled slightly under the shock. A few leaves floated down.

"Tch... I guess it's too much to expect world-shattering power the moment I awaken it. I'll need to train hard and keep pushing my limits."

Shigure nodded in understanding, though still surprised.

Just now, when he activated the power of the Gura Gura no Mi, he clearly felt some of his chakra being consumed.

Of course, it was only a small amount.

Could it be that the power of the Gura Gura no Mi in the Naruto world is entirely linked to chakra, becoming something like a Kekkei Genkai—Shock Release?

Still puzzled, Shigure kept testing the ability in detail.

After some time, he finally understood the nature of the power.

The Gura Gura no Mi—now dubbed the "Shock Release Kekkei Genkai" by Shigure—could empower his fists, physical attacks, even thrown kunai and shuriken with devastating shockwaves.

However, its strength depended directly on his physical power.

In short, the stronger his body, the more destructive his shockwaves.

If Shigure could open the Eighth Gate of the Eight Inner Gates right now, he might be able to shatter the moon with a single punch!

Furthermore, the chakra consumption was extremely low.

Activating a shockwave took even less chakra than a D-rank ninjutsu. Even with his current poor physical condition, he didn't feel any strain using it.

In other words, chakra wasn't a problem. The real key was to increase his physical strength and refine his taijutsu!

The stronger his taijutsu, the more powerful his shockwaves would be.

Right now, Shigure could only make a tree shake slightly and knock down a few leaves. He couldn't even break through a C-rank ninjutsu barrier. That wasn't nearly enough.

He wanted more power!

"There are countless forbidden techniques to enhance the body... like Sage Mode, Superhuman Strength, the Lightning Release Armor of the Third Raikage... and the Eight Inner Gates..."

Each time he thought of one, a spark of hope appeared in his eyes, but in the end, he could only smile bitterly.

Because at the moment, he didn't have access to any of them—and they wouldn't be easy to obtain.

With that thought, Shigure shook away his wild dreams and decided to focus on building his physical strength step by step. Once he was strong enough, he'd start seeking out those secret techniques.

Just as he was about to continue his training, a sudden spark flashed through his mind
