The charred body still smoked on the concrete.
A wrong vote. A brutal death.
And the Witch didn't even blink.
They had four suspects left.
– The boy with bloodstained cuffs (Shiro).
– The girl with mismatched shoes (Mika).
– The limping man with the cracked lens (Nobu).
– The woman in white who never blinked (Kaede).
Sora and Matthew sat at opposite ends of the ruined cafeteria, both watching.
Not each other.
Everyone else.
"Time for a new tactic," Matthew muttered.
Sora nodded. "Let's tell different lies. And see who reacts."
First Lie:
Matthew approached Shiro privately.
"We know the Witch doesn't bleed," he whispered.
"System glitch. We saw it during the last vote."
Shiro flinched.
"That's… you never said—"
"Exactly," Matthew interrupted, watching his eyes. "So why are your cuffs red?"
Shiro didn't answer.
Second Lie:
Sora sat beside Kaede. Calm. Soft-spoken.
"Rin told me the system made a mistake. The Witch already used their vote."
"That's impossible," Kaede replied instantly.
"Why so certain?" Sora said sweetly.
Kaede's eyes twitched for the first time.
Third Lie:
Rin entered the library and asked Mika:
"Hey… did you know the Witch's real name flashes in mirrors?"
"No," Mika said. "But… I checked every mirror in this place. There's nothing."
"You just said you didn't know."
Mika paled.
Fourth Lie:
Sora announced to the group:
"We found the body. The first victim. We know what was done to them."
No one spoke.
Then Nobu stood.
"You're bluffing. That corpse was melted beyond—"
He froze. Everyone turned.
"You just told us where it was."
Nobu backed up. "No—I—"
Matthew stepped forward.
"He's not the Witch. But he's hiding something. We push him…"
And suddenly—
A knife struck the wall beside Rin.
Everyone scattered.
"Too soon," Sora hissed. "The Witch panicked."
Now only four remain:
– Matthew
– Sora
– Rin
– And one of the others.
But the system voice returned:
TIME REMAINING: 00:21:00
FINAL VOTE IMMINENT
And whispered:
"You get one shot."
"And the Witch… gets one more kill."
