A candle on a slice of cheesecake was lit aflame by a green lighter, smoke floated up into the ceiling, while a teenager with black hair and brown eyes watched. Behind the black haired teenager was a very well built, curly dark brown haired teenager, who had an almost, 'malicious' smile.
And without any warning, the curly dark brown haired teenager wrapped his muscular arms around the black haired teenager's neck, essentially putting him in a rear naked chokehold. The curly dark brown haired teenager laughed with glee, "Ha! Satoya! It's your 19th birthday you old bastard!"
Satoya, the black haired teenager, struggled, and started tapping the teenager's hand, "Dude! You're strangling me!"
"Isaac! You always do this! Stop!" A girl scolded, she was also a teenager, but had long black hair, and also wore a basic black hoodie. "Oh c'mon! What are we supposed to do? Rayna, and Edward got lost in the middle of the streets, so mind as well do something to wait!" Isaac complained as he let go of Satoya from the choke hold.
"Isaac, what's so fun about you placing someone into a choke hold…" Satoya sighed, as he looked around the apartment before Isaac slapped him on the back.
The apartment itself was actually quite nice. Although it was well, sadly raining, like, stupendously raining. The apartment wasn't too large, or too small, it was perfectly in the middle. The kitchen counter and island was of marble, the crystalline chandelier in the ceiling, the television that's turned off, and oddly enough, there was a lack of a dining table – weird, is it just purely design? But that just means there's a chandelier hanging over the ceiling.
"Satoya, are you daydreaming again?" The long black haired girl asked, she was holding her phone, seemingly messaging someone. Isaac stood suspiciously beside her, eyeing down the phone, "is it your boyfriend?" He teased with a smugly.
"Huh? I'm not even in a relationship, it's Rayna, are you stupid?" She replied confused. She started to fiddle with the brightness of her phone before holding her phone an inch away from Isaac's face, making him squint.
Satoya looked down at the marbling on the kitchen island. Seemingly lost in thought, "something wrong?" The long black haired girl asked.
"Oh no, nothing, just, wondering…"
"I can take that if you want" Isaac pointed his finger toward the slice of cheesecake, with the still lit candle. "But there's like the entire cake in the fridge–" Satoya paused, before he let out a small sigh. "Alright, fine." He shrugged as he blew the flame on the candle, the lingering smoke faded into the air. And without acknowledging the small fork next to the plate the slice was on, Isaac grabbed the back of the cheesecake slice and started eating it. But did this guy seriously eat it barehanded? There was a fork, right there!
"Are you stupid? There was a fork–" The long black haired teenager was interrupted.
"Shut up Shizune! Anyway, when is Rayna and Edward coming?" Isaac interrupted while taking the last bite of the cheesecake before he started licking his fingers.
Satoya looked outside, noticing the rain outside the apartment was getting drenched in water, which made him think, why the hell is it raining so hard, this is the type of weather that could cause a flood in a small countryside village?! But Satoya shook his head, "The chances are, Rayna and Edward are lost in the rain."
And, somehow, he was right, as in the middle of this well, small sad rainy birthday, in a sidewalk 3 blocks away, was a mature looking girl, who had short faintly blonde hair, covering her face with her arm, while she wore a raincoat, she felt as if she was fighting in a war against an endless body of water–or rain– meanwhile, beside her, was a brown haired teenager with glasses, and was considerably short. He was clutching onto a black umbrella with dear life, as if any minute he'll get blown away in an instant.
"Rayna! Can we even get there? We need to get into that supermarket!" The brown haired teenager pleaded as a torn off branch flew past him, tearing a hole in the umbrella.
"Nah! We can do this!" The short faintly blonde girl declared.
As dumb as this may seem, they were also being watched from the people inside the supermarket quite literally across the street, with a child tugging his mother's coat, asking her, "mommy, what are those two people doing?" The mother, who was sipping out of a paper cup, exhaled, "don't grow up like those two."
"Oh crap! Edward! Ain't that Johnathan's umbrella?!" Rayna asked in slight concern as she was still shielding herself but turned her head toward him.
"Wait, I forgot it was!" Edward panicked, the problem Edward was facing now multiplied by two, because of the sheer fact that, one: he has to deal with this weather, and two: he broke the umbrella he borrowed from a guy named Johnathan.
"But speaking of him! Where is he?!" Rayna shouted.
Funnily enough, in some apartment 4 blocks away from those 2, a messy blonde haired teenager was sound asleep, with his phone making numerous buzzing noises from being called. This time, the person his contacts saved as, was "Idiot Shizune."
