Chapter 1 - Chapter One: The Summoning

Long before the measured passage of time began to organize days and nights, long before the ambitious hands of men sculpted sprawling kingdoms upon the Earth, a profound stillness enveloped the celestial realms above. At that moment, the Earth itself was a swirling storm of chaos, where the forces of creation and destruction danced an endless waltz. From his elevated vantage point among the Angels—celestial beings tasked with surveilling the mortal realm—Samyaza peered down at the unfolding tapestry of life below. It was a vibrant sphere, filled with both beauty and conflict, a theater of human experience where passion reigned supreme, where men lavished love with abandon and suffered heartbreak just as easily.

With almost somber contemplation, Samyaza witnessed the bittersweet cycle of human existence. He had observed mothers and fathers nurture their children with trembling hands, fraught with dreams and fears, only to have to lay them to rest beneath the very soil that nourished their lives. He had seen empires rise, constructed on a foundation of cruelty and ambition, only to be reduced to dust—testaments to humanity's hubris. But curiously, it was not the violent impulses of humanity that shook him to his core; it was the profound depth of their love. Their overwhelming capacity to give of themselves, to sacrifice everything for connection and understanding, filled him with a sense of longing that transcended his celestial duty.

Samyaza, revered as the Chief of the Angels, stood at the edge of the Firmament, his vast, golden wings folded majestically behind him. His face was etched with the solemnity of ancient wisdom, yet within the depths of his being burned an urge that was new to him—a yearning not arising from obligation, but from a burgeoning curiosity. He craved to experience what mortals felt. He desired to walk among them, to embrace the warmth of human skin, to feel the sting of pain coursing through his veins, and perhaps, just perhaps, to love in the same way they did.

With resolve swelling within him, he summoned the Angels. This was not a call to just any angels, but to the two hundred specifically chosen sentinels of Earth. These beings, cloaked in the brilliance of divine light, silently bore witness to the lives unfolding beneath them. Among their ranks were twenty captains, powerful and ancient beings, each one as timeless as the stars themselves, each gifted with abilities that were beyond mortal comprehension.

As they responded to his call, they descended in radiant orbs of light, illuminating the mountain heights of the celestial halls. Their wings shimmered with celestial glow, and their halos burned with divine fire. Yet, beneath this ethereal beauty, a palpable unease lingered in the air.

"I have brought you here," Samyaza began, his voice resonating like rolling thunder in the stillness, "because I can no longer feign that mere observation is sufficient."

A heavy silence enveloped them as the weight of his words settled in.

"I have witnessed the heart-wrenching grief of widows mourning their lost loves, and I have felt the heat of lovers torn apart by fate. I have rejoiced in the laughter of children playing under the shade of withering trees. Their joys and sorrows may be fleeting, yet they are suffused with an intensity that imbues life with profound meaning. What is our purpose, if we never immerse ourselves in the experiences they embrace so wholeheartedly?"

With an air of fierce defiance, Azazel, the bold and impetuous one among the Angels, stepped forward. His armor glistened with starlight, reflecting his formidable nature. "You speak of love, but what you truly crave is experience," he said, his voice a blend of challenge and admiration. "Let us not linger on the fringes—let us walk among them. We can teach them our wisdom, guide them into a brighter existence, and elevate them to heights they have yet to imagine."

Many among the Angels murmured their agreement, the allure of such power calling to them like a siren's song. But Sariel, the compassionate healer, countered with cautious wisdom. "To step into their world is to risk falling. The line that divides love from possession is far more fragile than you might believe."

But undeterred, Samyaza responded passionately, "We are not mere beasts devoid of reason. We are bound by a greater purpose. Let us descend, not in arrogance but in humility. Let us swear before the Flame that we shall not dominate, but protect. Our intent must be to love, not to destroy."

In the heavy silence that followed, a palpable tension filled the sacred air. One by one, the captains stepped forward, each one resolved to take part in this extraordinary pact:

- Azazel, Angel of Craft and War, whose knowledge could shape tools for creation and instruments for destruction.

- Barakiel, the mighty Angel of Lightning, capable of summoning storms with a mere whisper.

- Kokabiel, Keeper of the Stars, who charted the destinies of mortals within the cosmic tapestry.

- Shamsiel, the illuminating Angel of Daylight, whose gaze pierced through the veils of deceit to

 reveal truth.

- Sariel, the compassionate Angel of Healing, whose tears had the power to mend both flesh

 and spirit.

- Penemue, the divine Writer, who inspired mankind to decipher the hidden languages of

 nature.

- Ramiel, the Thunderer, whose voice could rend mountains asunder, instilling awe in both the

 righteous and the wicked.

- Araqiel, the Earth shaper, who commanded the very stones, bending them to his will.

- And many others, ageless and sagacious, each bearing gifts that far surpassed the capabilities

 of mortal beings.

They convened atop the venerable heights of Mount Hermon—a hallowed ground where Heaven seemed to meet Earth in a divine dance. It was there, under the watchful gaze of stars that burned with ancient knowledge, that they forged a covenant, pledging their fates together.

They swore upon their celestial honor not to inflict harm upon mankind. They vowed to seek no dominion over these fragile beings of flesh and bone. They would descend to walk among humans—not as conquerors, but as lovers, protectors, and understanding friends.

As the words of their oath resonated through the ethers, a shadow fell over the stars, darkening the heavens as if the sky itself mourned the gravity of their choice. And one by one, they began to descend, not out of rebellion, but united in a luminous purpose that pulsed with harmony and hope.

The Angels transformed into mere mortals on Earth, cloaked in the wonder of human experience. And thus, the world would be irrevocably altered, setting into motion a cascade of events that would change the course of human history forever.
