"What kind of terrifying power is this?!" Garp and Zephyr's minds went completely blank. It was as if time itself had stopped. The suffocating pressure of magic cloaked all of Loguetown like a tangible storm, spreading outward without pause. One by one, people collapsed like wheat under a scythe.
"Ahhh, this feels soooo good." Rimuru squinted his eyes with a blissful sigh, as though soaking in a hot spring.
"That ring… What the hell is that thing?!" Garp growled, barely managing to speak under the immense pressure.
"This ring?" Milim raised her hand with a grin, showing off the small accessory. "You mean this? It's a gift from my dearest friend. It contains the Dragon's Word. My magic is a little too overwhelming, so to avoid disrupting the environment, my friend gave me this to suppress it—to about one-tenth of my full power. In other words—" she paused, beaming like a child given candy, "—right now, I'm ten times stronger than I was a moment ago!"
That smile chilled Garp and Zephyr to their cores. She was already strong enough to wipe out the entire navy moments ago—and now she's ten times stronger? She could probably wipe the floor with the entire World Government by herself!
Suddenly, Milim vanished without warning.
Before Garp or Zephyr could react, their vision went black—and then, nothing.
Milim glanced back at the two massive craters she left behind, casually slid the ring back on her finger, and muttered with a childish giggle, "Time to find my bestie! I bet they'll be super proud of me, right? Heehee, off I go~!" And with that, she soared into the sky like a meteor.
…
Inside the Labyrinth—
Sengoku was panting heavily, his clothes torn to shreds, his once-pristine cape long gone. He looked like he'd crawled through hell.
Towering in front of him was a massive humanoid mech, gleaming with a strange iridescent glow. Behind it stood two gigantic cannons, and in its hands were twin greatswords humming with energy. It could fight at both close and long range—an absolute nightmare.
Sengoku's mood was foul. Very foul. Ever since they entered the labyrinth, they'd faced nothing but absurd dangers—man-eating plants, falling boulders from the sky, hidden arrow traps, flamethrowers… And worst of all, his Observation Haki wasn't working! It was like they were blindfolded and tossed into a death trap.
With so much time wasted, Roger had probably been rescued already.
Gritting his teeth, Sengoku stared at the robot. No more hesitation. He needed to finish this thing off—fast.
"All of you—attack together!" he shouted. "Golden Buddha Shockwave!"
As he spoke, Sengoku slammed his palm forward, unleashing a brilliant golden ripple. The compressed air roared like a dragon as it slammed into the mech, hurling it backwards into the wall with a deafening crash.
The vice admirals seized the opportunity.
"Rokushiki Secret Art: Tyrant Lance!"
"Sword Art: Mountain-Split Slash!"
"Tempest Kick: Wolf Pack!"
"Eight-Blade Style Secret Art: Infinite Slash!"
They unleashed their strongest techniques, striking the robot in rapid succession. After a barrage of explosions and sparks, the mech finally collapsed, lifeless and unmoving.
The group was exhausted. They'd already fought through a dozen monstrous enemies just to get this far. Their stamina was running low, and mentally, they were on the edge.
Suddenly, the walls of the labyrinth began to twist and shimmer. The defeated robot started fading away like smoke.
Sengoku's brows furrowed deeply. They were in no condition for another battle—if another monster appeared now, there would definitely be casualties.
But to his relief, nothing emerged. As the twisted walls stabilized, the distorted maze melted away—revealing the original prison structure. Everything looked normal again.
"It's reverted…" Sengoku muttered. "Which means… Roger's already been taken."
His brief sense of relief evaporated. Without another word, he rushed toward the cell where Roger had been held, the vice admirals close behind.
The prison was empty.
Sengoku drew a deep breath, fists clenched. Damn it! The original seastone jail had been cleaved clean in half. The veins bulging on his hand betrayed his fury and helplessness.
Without a word, he turned and walked away.
The vice admirals exchanged looks, shook their heads grimly, and followed in silence.
…
When they finally stepped outside the prison and saw the scene beyond—they froze.
Every single marine in the area was lying unconscious. The once-bustling streets had been reduced to smoldering rubble. Houses had collapsed. The whole district looked like it had been hit by a natural disaster.
And in the middle of it all… two gigantic craters.
Sengoku's heart skipped a beat. He leapt into one of the craters and found Garp lying at the bottom.
He knelt and checked—Garp was alive.
Barely.
Sengoku let out a sigh of relief. "Contact the World Government," he said, voice low. "Tell them everything. And tell them to send reinforcements."
Who could've done this?
Defeating Garp, Kong, and Zephyr in such a short time… was this even something a human could do?
Sengoku couldn't help but sigh.
Roger had been rescued. The World Government's authority would suffer an unprecedented blow. The Navy's reputation would crumble.
The era of peace on the seas—was over.
He hoisted Garp onto his shoulders. His face was dark with anger, but there was nothing he could do.
This enemy… had far exceeded anything they could've imagined.
