The two headed Hound slowly moved towards the prison, its red eyes looking at the prison gate before it started smelling the scent of fresh blood inside the prison.
One step at a time, it moved towards the place from where the fragrant scent of flesh was coming from. And then reaching the body that was closest to it…
-Crunch!
It began eating it with a delightful expression.
[They have special noses so they will be able to find us despite the Necklace's effects. And given the speed with which it is eating, it should be about a few minutes before it reaches us.] (Elios)
'Any plans?' (Noah)
[Not much of a plan but I can give you a 10 minute boost. Though the problem is that I don't know how much of a help it would be.] (Elios)
'Better than nothing.' (Noah)
[All right. Our aim is to close the door from outside and then run away as far as possible. Since the hound is moving towards the bodies on the other side, we should be able to outrun it if we use all our might.](Elios)
'Can't we fight it?' (Noah)
[…] (Elios)
[It's a D-Grade Monster. It's impossible at our current level. And even if we were in perfect condition, it would still be too much.](Elios)
Even though Elios warned him, Noah somehow felt like it was doable. After all it was just a dog with two heads, should a little precaution be enough to deal with it?
[All right. It's moving away now. As soon as I cast the spell, start running.]
One step at a time, the hound moved towards the body in the other corner, and as soon as it chomped on the body.
[Self-Curse: Abnormality(F)!]
[User's Mana is sealed for 15 minutes!]
[All of User's Physical Ability increases by 10% of his (Intelligence + Wisdom)!]
-Whoosh!
'!!!' (Hound)
The total Agility now was 5. It wasn't fast by any means, but it was enough for him to run as fast as he could if he were not injured. And even though he could have never outrun the hound in his current condition, it was enough to reach out of the prison and close the door from outside.
"BOW! BOW! GRRR! BOW! BOW! GRRRR! BOW! WOW! WOW!"
-Whoosh!
Running away from there, Noah analyzed the long hallway and the stairs at the edge of it. He was still weak, and his body was still in pain. But right now, there were a lot more things he needed to worry about.
Such as the men who have heard the barking of the hound.
[Right!]
Hearing Elios' words, he ran into the right prison, the one filled with dozens of bones thrown all around the area. And with one look, he understood Elios' intentions.
They can't run anymore. They have to fight.
And the closest thing they could get as a weapon here were these broken sharp bones. It was hard to tell whether they were humans or any other animals, but neither of them had any time to analyze this.
Picking up a bone that seemed sturdier than the others, and a handful of mud in another hand, Noah prepared what he was best at.
"What happened this time? Why are they shouting so loudly?" The same woman, this time alone by himself, reached down near the prison. From the sound of the footsteps, it seemed that only one of them came down. But still, Noah didn't jump at the lone woman.
A single mistake could be fatal. And he must prepare for all situations he possibly could.
The girl passed by the prison gate where Noah was as she cursed out loud. And as she reached near the closed prison where the hound was, her hands glowed black. The hound that was barking at the top of his lungs, lowered its voice, before he finally quieted down.
"Why are you inside this prison?"
And with that small window of a chance, Noah dashed out of the prison hall, escaping as silently as possible. The prison hall led to a cavern filled with strange markings on the walls. There were a few more black robed men that were talking to each other. Though the darkness around the area and the [Necklace of Grace] that Noah had, helped him hide in plain sight for the moment.
"Huh? Who are you?!"
Or perhaps that was wishful thinking, as the old man who was with the girl before, spoke, finding Noah standing in the corner. His eyes were glowing a tad bit red, perhaps he could see through the darkness pretty easily.
"Who? Hmmm… hey! Isn't that one of the kids of today's batch?" Another one spoke, finding Noah standing in the shadows, his camouflage breaking as every mage here started focusing on him.
[Shit! What now?!](Elios)
Some of the black-robed men smiled, while others were a bit confused. There were at least a dozen of them here, with more coming from the otherside of the cavern. And as Noah was analyzing his escape plan, and the choices he had, a sweet voice of a woman in late 20s came from the crowd.
"Oho! It seems like our little mage survived somehow!"
Unlike the black robed ones, this girl was wearing a white nun like dress. Her golden eyes, and blonde hair seemed odd in this place. Though, her smile, her oh-so-evil smile, it seemed perfect for a shady place like this.
[Sister Zehra…](Elios)
"Elios. I don't know how you survived but… too bad. You can break his legs and arms, I don't care. But make sure he could speak once you are one with him. I want to know how he escaped the ritual," She spoke in a cold tone as she commanded the men to attack Noah, who was somehow… far calmer than before.
'All right. This should be doable…' he thought as he finished analyzing the people around him and how he was going to deal with this situation.
