Chapter 88 - Chapter 88: Return of the Rising Star

The wheels of the plane touched down gently on German soil.

For the first time in days, Mateo breathed a little easier.

Gone were the hostile glances, the venomous whispers, the crushing silence.

Here, at least, he was still Mateo González —not the villain the Argentine press had made him out to be.

As he exited the private terminal, a small group was waiting for him.

His mother rushed forward first, wrapping him in a fierce hug.

"Welcome home, hijo," she whispered, her voice cracking.

Behind her, his grandparents smiled warmly, their eyes full of pride — not pity.

And Klara.

Klara stood there, a bouquet of sunflowers in her hands, smiling despite the tears glistening in her blue eyes.

Mateo didn't hesitate —he crossed the distance in two steps and pulled her into his arms.

They stood there for a long time, two young souls clinging together against the world's storms.

Later, back at home, the living room was filled with light and laughter.

Banners hung from the walls:"Willkommen zurück, Mateo!"

His old friends from the Bayern youth team even sent a video call — shouting and cheering from their training camp.

"We're waiting for you, beast!""Time to show the world who you really are!"

But the most unexpected support came the next morning.

As Mateo sat at the kitchen table, eating a quiet breakfast, his phone buzzed.

It was a message from Vincent Kompany, head coach of Bayern Munich.

"Rest up today.Tomorrow, report to Säbener Strasse. You're training with the first team again. We have plans for you, Junge."

Mateo stared at the screen, heart pounding.

Bayern wasn't giving up on him. They believed in him. They trusted him.

No lies.No politics.Just football.

The next day, Mateo arrived at Bayern's training ground.

The familiar fields stretched out before him, green and endless under the crisp morning sun.

He stepped onto the grass, feeling the cool bite of it under his boots.

Around him, the senior team trained — legends of the sport.

And now, he was one of them.

Coach Kompany gathered the team in a circle.

His voice was steady, commanding:

"We are Bayern Munich. We don't abandon our own.Mateo is part of this family —and starting today, he fights with us."

The players clapped — real applause, real welcome.

Thomas Müller clapped him on the back.

"Showtime, Junge," he said with a wink.

Harry Kane grinned and gave him a thumbs-up.

Musiala flashed a bright smile.

Mateo felt a lump rise in his throat.

Not of sadness this time.

Of something fierce.Something alive.

Hope.

Determination.

As training began, the System whispered:

[Quest Update: Rise from the Ashes — Progress 25%]Prove yourself in the Bundesliga.Restore your reputation internationally.

Special Reward: Hidden Legendary Title — "The Unbreakable."

Mateo smiled to himself as he sprinted onto the pitch.

He would rise again.Higher than ever before.

And this time,no one would ever drag him down again.
