The others frowned slightly and looked up hearing what Jasper said. Octavia slowly looked behind her wondering what he was seeing. There was something in the water though she couldn't tell what, ripples of water on the surface moving as it moved towards her. "Get out of the water now!" Jasper shouted.
Octavia turned barely able to see something large under the surface getting closer to her, her eyes widening before she screamed feeling something grab her ankle, the scream was cut off as she was pulled under water. "Octavia!" Jasper yelled. Octavia struggled to keep above the water, coming up briefly and her hands smacking at the surface of the water as she was dragged slightly deeper into the river. "No..." Jasper mumbled seeing her pulled back under, the water calming back down around them. The group was silent, watching the surface for any signs of movement. A few seconds later a splash sounded, Octavia's screams breaking the silence.
Clarke and Finn's head snapped to her and after a second of realising she was in trouble again began to rush towards her,.still in shock with whatever was pulling her under the water. Jasper ran off towards Monty, going behind the rocky surface towards Octavia. "What the hell is that? We have to help her." Monty said as Octavia was being dragged further down the river. "What are you gonna do?" Monty asked seeing Finn taking off his jacket. "Try not to get eaten." He said as he stood near one of the edges of the rock. "No, wait." Clarke said quickly placing her arm across Finn's front so he stopped. She looked around quickly at the ground, her heart rushing now. "If we distract it, it might let her go. Help me." She said crouching down, jasper staring as Octavia was once again dragged under the cold water.
Monty, Finn and Clarke knelt down, pushing one of the boulders off the edge of the rock, Finn grunting slightly. After a few seconds of pushing they managed to tip it off the edge, it rolled down the rocks edge and plummeted into the water. They turned immediately seeing the big creature leave Octavia and start to swim towards them, towards the rock. "It worked. It let her go." Monty said. Octavia still seemed to be struggling to keep above water. "Octavia get to the shore now!" Jasper shouted, running along the edge of the river towards the girl. Jasper jumped into the river, Octavia still disoriented and splashing about. "I got you." He said, he wrapped his arms around her quickly and began to try and take them both to the shore.
Finn and the others turned seeing the creature under the water turn around and began to swim back towards Octavia and jasper. "It's coming back!" Finn shouted towards them. "It's headed right for you, guys." He shouted to them. Octavia and jasper swam as much as they could to the shore. "Come on. Come on. Keep going." Jasper said. He helped Octavia as much as he could out of the water, one arm around her waist. He managed to help her onto the rocky shore of the river both kicking their feet to slide further up the rock.
Octavia gasped for breath, one hand slapping down onto the rock beneath her and she briefly looked down at her leg, a few gashes were on her right leg, her outer thigh slightly covered in blood though thankfully the wounds didn't seem too deep or as serious as they could have been. Clarke and the others rushed over to them, now away from the danger of whatever was in the river. Clarke knelt down behind Octavia, her hand touching the top of the girls thigh gently as she looked at the wound on her leg. "Okay." She whispered quietly to herself, beginning to calm down slightly now. She reached over to Jasper's grey shirt, ripping along the hemline at the bottom so she had a slice of the fabric. She began to wrap it around her thigh above the wound.
Octavia turned to Jasper, still a little breathless but she nodded slightly. "Thank you. Thank you." She said before leaning forward slightly and wrapping one arm around him in a hug, Jasper returning the favor quickly. Clarke tied the cloth above the injury and glanced to Octavia. "You're gonna be okay." She said. Monty let out a small sigh. "Note to self...next time, save the girl." Monty said with a smile, he leaned down and patted Jasper on the shoulder. The comment making both Jasper and Octavia laugh, then Clarke.

Wells had been in the drop ship, limping out of the door as he heard people cheering in the little camp they'd made for themselves. More so, it was the sound of what sounded like metal clanging that attracted his attention. He limped towards the group of people that were gathered around the fire they'd managed to create. He gave a small smile to someone as he approached, pushing his way through the group. He watched what was happening and his face fell. A girl knelt down by a rock, her hand braced on it. Murphy beside her using a piece of metal to slip one end under the metal wristband and pushed on it so the wristband came off, Mbege behind her keeping her arm still. The girl groaned in pain as the wristband came off but another cheer came from the group. Murphy grinning and throwing one of many wristbands into the fire, the girl now smiling.
"Who's next?" Bellamy shouted proudly. "What the hell are you doing?" Wells asked as he stepped towards Bellamy. Bellamy glanced to the side seeing John Mbege walking towards him and he placed his hand on his chest keeping him back. "We're liberating ourselves." Bellamy said to Wells. "What does it look like?" He asked like it was obvious. "It looks like you're trying to get us all killed." Wells replied. Bellamy pressed his lips together slightly and rolled his eyes, fed up with Wells being on the Ark's side. "The communication system is dead." Wells said looking around at the group of kids gathered by the fire now. "These wristbands are all we got." He explained. "Take them off, and the Ark will think we're dying, that it's not safe for them to follow." He said.
"That's the point, Chancellor." Bellamy cut in quickly, a smug smile on his face. The title getting a few laughs from the others. "We can take care of ourselves, can't we?" He shouted the last two words to the group, cheers emerging from the group loudly. Wells grit his teeth together. "You think this is a game?" He asked to Bellamy. "Those aren't just our friends and our parents up there. They're our farmers, our doctors, our engineers." He said. Bellamy looked to the side for a second, almost worried that he might win people over to his side, as he did have a good point and Bellamy knew it, but he sure as hell wasn't going to say that. "I don't care what he tells you. We won't survive here on our own." He said taking a moment to be quiet as he turned back around to face Bellamy who was sighing to himself. "And besides, if it really is safe, how could you not want the rest of our people to come down?" He questioned.
Bellamy raised his eyebrows slightly. "My people already are down." He said firmly. "Those people..." He said with a hint of anger as he pointed up towards the sky. "Locked my people up." He said. He walked towards Wells slightly. "Those people killed my mother for the crime of having a second child." He said. "Your father did that." He said to Wells. "My father didn't write the laws." He defended, tears starting to well in his eyes. "No. He enforced them, but not anymore, not here." He said as he shook his head. "Here, there are no laws." He said raising his voice to the group once again. A few cheers and yells of agreement came from the group. "Here, we do whatever the hell we want, whenever the hell we want." He said firmly and proudly. Louder cheers erupted from the group, Murphy, still holding onto the metal piece in his hand, smirking behind Bellamy.
"Now, you don't have to like it, Wells. You can even try to stop it or change it, kill me." He said with a slight smile, the corners of his mouth twisting up knowing he wouldn't. "You know why?" He asked. "Whatever the hell we want." He said as he shook his head amused. Murphy spoke up, yelling from behind Bellamy. "Whatever the hell we want." He shouted to the group. Bellamy lifted up his hand towards Murphy, the smug look on his face as he continued to stare at Wells, the people spoke for themselves. It would be easier for Wells if it was just Bellamy, but it wasn't, others agreed with him. Soon pretty much the whole camp began chanting whatever the hell we want.
It went on for a few seconds, their chants syncing up as they pumped their fists into the air. Wells clenched his jaw and took a few steps forward, staring down at Bellamy who returned the favour but they didn't speak. Moments later thunder crashed above them, Wells and Bellamy looking up towards the sky. It started raining heavily. Wells smiled, as did Bellamy, their faces and hair already getting soaked, it was the first time they'd felt real rain on their face and the others were enjoying it too. Bellamy turned slowly back to Wells, his face falling slightly as he'd forgot for a moment that they were in the middle of a confrontation. Wells had seemed to put it behind him. "We need to collect this." Wells told him. Bellamy gave a slight nod to him, water already dripping off his face.
"Whatever the hell you want."
