Chapter 10 - Chapter 10 — A Thread Returned

Scene I — The Loom-Seer's Collapse

In the highest spire of the Loom Temple, the Grand Seer was speaking the day's fates aloud when she froze mid-sentence.

Her breath caught. Her pupils dilated. Then — she vomited golden thread.

"No…" she choked. "He was cut. He was cut!"

Acolytes rushed forward. One grabbed her trembling hand.

"Who, High Seer?"

"The Vowbreaker…" she whispered. "He's not just alive — he's outside us."

The Loom glitched once. Just once.

The world noticed.

Scene II — The Hidden Cult of the Unwoven

Deep beneath the city of Silthar, blind men in black silk robes fell to their knees in joy.

One wept blood as the glyphs on his skin caught fire.

"The Contradiction returns. The Stitchless walks. The Pattern weeps."

Their high priest, covered in tattoos of failed prophecies, raised a broken thread in both hands.

"Azrael's heir has torn open the script. We are free."

For the first time in centuries, the Unwoven began to rise.

Scene III — The Seraph Council

High above the mortal world, in the golden citadel of Concordia, the Seraphim gathered. Wings of every hue, halos like orbiting stars.

Vael stood in the center, robes pristine. Her golden thread pulsed faintly in her palm — but it quivered.

"I corrected him," she said calmly. "I saw his end. It was clean."

The Archangel of Records, ancient beyond sunfire, frowned.

"Then why do we still feel his weight on the Loom?"

Silence.

"Did you falter?"

Vael's voice remained neutral. But her eyes… blinked slower than before.

"No."

But the room knew better.

For the first time in divine memory, Vael had hesitated.

Scene IV — The Reawakened

Far away, a chained being in a tower of mirrors stirred.

Its face was masked. Its arms bound by spectral time.

"Azrael made a move," it whispered, voice like cracking glass."Did he finally find someone worth breaking the game for?"

It grinned. The tower warped.

"Good. I was starting to get bored."

Scene V — The Forgotten Friend

And in the slums of a ruined city, a girl with threadless eyes looked up at the sky.

She hadn't felt him in years.

Now… he burned like a brand across the pattern.

She smiled, sharp and small.

"Kale… what have you become?"
