Chapter 36 - Revised: Chapter 36 The Death of Ali

Tian Xingjian sighed deeply. He recognized this person. A few hours ago, in front of the base gate, under the white spotlight, he saw that honest and ingratiating face, the base guard, Gazalin Empire Lieutenant Ali, in his thirties.

That face has now turned pale, without anger or sorrow, just numbness. A deep numbness to the bone. Tian Xingjian knew Ali had no way out; he had reached a dead end. When he gave them passage earlier, it was already predestined that he would not survive past today. This was his final attack, a soldier's attack on the enemy responsible for his death.

"Surrender, Lieutenant, you can choose to live on," a Special Reconnaissance Soldier couldn't help but shout.

The shooting did not stop. Ali maintained his previous posture, the robotic soldier steps, standard advancing shots.

An energy machine gun bullet pierced Ali's chest. He was knocked to the ground by the powerful impact, his energy gun helplessly slipping from his hand. His pale face showed no expression, not even a painful twitch altered his expression. Finally, blood spurted violently from the corner of his mouth, and a few seconds later, he stopped struggling and died quietly.

Torick was the shooter. He put away the energy machine gun extending from the muzzle and said coldly, "If I were in the Gazalin Empire, I would be the same. Lower-class people! Making such a mistake, if I surrendered, my family would be sent to the gallows. In that country, surrender is only a privilege of the upper-class." His Warrior Pioneers slowly turned around and headed back to the base. "So, I'd rather die than let that damned country become our ruler!"

The scene was dead silent, only the burning base occasionally crackled and burst into a spark. Ali's body lay quietly in front of the Federation Mechas, glaringly pale on the black-yellow land.

Why did he attack a [Demon Tiger]? Why not choose Warrior Pioneers? Nobody knew.

Maybe it was because of [Demon Tiger]'s deceit, or perhaps it was a final, pale and powerless anger of a lower-class person against the upper-class.

As if feeling the atmosphere was too oppressive, the sky suddenly cleared up, and the bright morning sunlight fell straight on the ground.

Several medium-sized transport ships reflecting golden sunlight slowly swept over the burning base, dropping hundreds of mechas like dumplings from their cabins. Countless high-speed combat aircraft roamed in the distant clouds, making everyone present tear up. Tian Xingjian hid in [Logic]'s cabin, tears flowing: "Damn it, I finally survived again."

Among the falling mechas, two Warrior Leaders advanced first. They were Camp Leader Nadal and Platoon Leader Rashid, followed by cheering Special Reconnaissance Company soldiers. Other descending special soldiers quickly scattered and occupied advantageous positions, some spreading out in squads to set up warning posts, and some using portable alloy plates carried by mechas to assemble temporary defensive positions.

Jumping out of the mecha, Fatty was almost strangled by Rashid's bear hug, gripping tightly around his waist. Rashid was short, but his strong arms made the hug genuine.

Laughing, Nadal stepped forward, shoving Rashid aside, saying, "You're something, Fatty! Damn, you're tougher than me now! I thought you were done for, but here you go again making the Special Reconnaissance Battalion proud!"

Fatty, face full of smugness, pretended to be humble and boasted shamelessly, "Not at all, it's just luck. I barely had to lift a finger, the opponent was weak."

"Fatty!" A shriek echoed, and two women latched onto Fatty's arms like koalas, pinching his sides simultaneously. The escape team took four hours to reach the destination, just in time to see Fatty going berserk, scaring them to the point of shaking. Had Fatty gone mad?

Meiduo and Nia didn't think so; they were elated. In their hearts, their man should be invincible. Seeing Fatty acting mighty and arrogant made them happy, knowing that no matter how heroic or fierce he was against the enemy, the same Fatty would yield to their whim.

This is a woman's mentality -_-!!!

So, when the battle ended, two typical women ran over. Pinching Fatty at this moment was the most satisfying thing to do.

A swarm of medical soldiers rescued Fatty, hauling Meiduo and Nia onto the transport ship alongside other rescued Federation prisoners, as if conducting a large-scale kidnapping.

Half an hour later, several transport ships ascended into the sky with the roar of anti-gravity devices. Staring at the shrinking ruins of the base outside the window, all the Federation prisoners couldn't help but cheer loudly, this time truly escaping with their lives. A total of over 280 Federation soldiers held in the prisoner of war camp, with Tian Xingjian leading, only twelve were sacrificed, along with two fallen Special Reconnaissance Soldiers, paying the price of fourteen lives over more than half a month, crossing hundreds of kilometers, and successfully rescued. This was a wonderful ending they never dared to dream of. These captured Federation soldiers were weak and demoralized back then, barely able to walk.

Looking at Fatty's honest and harmless face, seeing him trying to act simple and honest, observing his lecherous gaze frequently aimed at some pretty female soldiers' chests, all the prisoners wanted to laugh. They couldn't associate this guy with the warrior who had just fought fiercely, wielding [Vajra].

A pretty medical female soldier bent down to measure the blood pressure of a soldier beside Fatty, her ample chest making him drool a little.

This scoundrel, was he really the so-called hero who led everyone to create miracles? Some rescued soldiers, ready to salute the hero after cheering, forced themselves to look away. Their mouths, stomachs, and whole bodies cramped. This hero was indeed the most lecherous hero of the Federation.

Under the escort of combat aircraft, the medium-sized transport ships quickly accelerated from the initial slow speed of anti-gravity device activation, beginning a rapid ascent. In ten minutes, the transport fleet would leave the atmosphere and enter space travel.

Looking at the female medical soldier's chest before him, Fatty's mind wasn't filled with these enticing images. Memories replayed like a movie: the movements of ten mechas during his first contact with [Demon Tiger], the life-or-death battle scenes with [Vajra], all those simple and effective maneuvers, realistic feints, precise dodging techniques in eye-blurring fire, and the ion light saber persistently chasing him, all opening doors to broader realms, benefiting Fatty greatly.

Several rounds of life-or-death struggles were escaped using unconventional techniques, mixed with luck. The enemies, hit by initial surprise tactics, fought under unfair conditions. If there was no interference from [Antenna] on enemy mecha computers, if there were no ambush disguises, a direct confrontation without [Logic], he would definitely lose, without question.

The beautiful medical soldier finished measuring the blood pressure of the soldier next to Fatty and looked up to see Fatty staring stupidly, drooling slightly. Following his gaze, she found her collar wide open, revealing her ample chest completely to this lecherous Fatty. Angrily slapping his face, she stomped off with the electronic blood pressure device.
