This place faces the bay from east to west and protrudes into the Qiongzhou Strait from north to south like a bull's horn. It's not quite an island, nor is it a reef, consisting of layers of rock, gravel, and red clay. Above it, there is an artificial forest belt and also a lighthouse has been built.
A few people emerged from the mangrove forest, and they found their way to Weitou Point, where they now anxiously waited atop the lighthouse. One of them was peering through a telescope, surveying the vast sea before them—thin islands dotted like stars, with no sign of any trace in sight.

They saw the sea part, a sharp fin erect, swimming rapidly towards the shore, and with a splash, a three-foot white fish leaped out, its belly skimming the surface, floating on top of the water.
