"Are you not going to introduce us?" Alana teasingly asked as they entered the visitor's lounge, which was a massive living room. Since there was no one else there, they gathered near the fireplace.
Hearing her question, Olivia brightened up a little, and Roy brightly smiled at his friend.
"My name is Olivia Eden, Miss Parker." The blonde girl smiled as she stepped forward and shook hands.
Despite all her efforts to stay polite and composed, the infectious smile that was curving on her face was betraying her.
She was a huge fan of Alana's Music, and today was like a dream come true for her.
"The Swedish Noble House of Eden?" Alana curiously asked, and Olivia nodded her head.
"My Grandfather is the Duke of Eden."
"I see," She nodded and then curiously looked at Roy. "And how close are you with Roy?"
"Alana..." The boy groaned, and it made Harud chuckle.
"I thought we were really good friends. But now I think that it was a misunderstanding on my part." Olivia lightly said, catching all of their attention, and made her friend frown at her words.
"How so?"
"He never told me that he knew you even after I told him that I loved your music." The girl said, feigning some hurt, and her words made them all laugh.
"How cruel of you." Alana giggled as Roy rolled his eyes.
"Everyone loves your music. I am not even surprised anymore."
"So, you don't like my music?"
"No." Roy immediately shook his head, and Olivia grinned at his words.
"Liar. I caught you dancing with Lily to the Wicked Game."
Hearing her words, Roy panicked a little, but it was too late to cover Olivia's mouth.
"Who's Lily?"
"My cousin and best friend. Roy's girlfriend."
"I..." He opened his mouth, but could not bring himself to make an excuse and lie in front of his mother.
Fiona smiled as she looked at the girl and then at her Son. It seemed that the relationship between the two was very close and they were really good friends.
"Sit with me." She asked, and Roy obediently sat by her side, holding her hand. "Are you happy?"
The gentle question from his mother made the boy feel inexplicably at peace, and he happily nodded his head before sharing with her how his time at the academy had gone so far.
Olivia too joined in the conversation, and in half an hour, everyone learned about how cheerful and social this young Lady was.
"I heard that the Demiliore Family was moving back to Italia, reclaiming their Ancestral Home." The young Eden suddenly said, looking at Alana.
Even though she did not know Harud and Fiona, she knew who Alana was related to. And for her to treat Roy like a younger brother meant that he too was related to the Demiliore of Sameran.
"That's the official excuse, yes." She giggled. "We are just tired of all the attention and want to live in quiet now."
"So, the Branch Family has not really taken over the businesses," Olivia nodded her head, making sense of things, and neither Alana nor Fiona corrected her.
However, they did tell the girl about the history of the Demiliore Family as one of the Ancient Families, and along the lines, they gave her hints that they wanted to return to that status.
The world was shocked when the Demiliore Family of Sameran switched hands and a Branch Family took over the Demiliore Consortium.
Venessa had publicly announced that they were moving to Italia, the land of their Ancestors, and everything in Netheria was going to be left in the care of the Branch Family that would stay in charge of the Demiliore Family in the country.
Though the Demiliore Consortium had changed hands, the Black Forest Group and Essra, the Space City, did not change hands.
Keith and Venessa were still in charge of the Businesses that they had created, but they were now controlling them through a new management system.
The rumours had all been put to rest when Leilah Announced that Essra and Black Forest Group were joining the Noxville as their permanent members, which explained the change in the management of the two groups.
This news was welcomed by the entire world, which had been very restless since the last successful Space Mining Mission and the capture of Resource Asteroids by the Essra Space City.
In a sense, it was a challenge to the Government Hegemony on the precious resources that were floating in space, and now, these technologies were going to be shared with all the businesses associated with Noxville.
It also led to a lot of speculations, some of which claimed that Venessa and Keith's combined assets had crossed a Trillion Euro mark even if they no longer had Demiliore Consortium.
It made sense to most, as managing so many things was really too much for a Family.
The Chocie was a wise one to leave the Demiliore Consortium to the Demiliore Family in Netheria and keep what they had built from scratch.
Of course, these were all rumours. Keith and Venessa were no longer as rich as they used to be.
And frankly, no one in the family cared about the money either since they were going to leave this world at the end of the month.
All of them were already looking forward to becoming rich in the new world they were going to head to.
After learning a lot about the Demiliore Family, Olivia politely excused herself and allowed Roy to speak with his friends and family in private.
However, she had already made up her mind to press him later to clear things about his relationship with all these people.
"Master did not come?" The boy asked as soon as his friend left, hopefully looking at his Mother, whose sweet smile made him smile as well.
"He is in France. We are here to take you with us to attend the Wedding of your Master to the Princess of Valois Family." Fiona informed him.
"Oh."
"You can bring your girlfriend with you." Alana teased, and Roy groaned again.
"Olivia is not my girlfriend. And Lily has returned home for the Holidays" He shook his head and heard Harud chuckle.
"Are you sure?" The Young Lord of the Mir Family asked. "She's very beautiful. And if you are not interested, I might take her for myself."
For an inexplicable reason, the idea of Olivia being with Harud or anyone for that matter made him very restless. And his restlessness was clearly reflected on his face.
"I am just messing with you. Relax." Harud laughed when he saw Roy looking disturbed. "Besides, I will be leaving this world soon. How can I take care of her?"
There was a hint of playfulness in his voice, but the Inheritor of the God of Wealth ignored it and focused on the serious part.
"You are leaving?" He asked, looking his best friend in the eyes.
"Yes." The Young Lord of the Mir Family nodded.
"We are all leaving, Roy. It will be a while before we see each other again," Alana lightly informed him and smiled as she watched the boy tense up.
He did not doubt their words in the least, and it was because his System had already told him that they could leave any time they wanted, and only the Realm Sealing Artifacts were keeping them here.
"When?" He asked as he turned to look at his mother.
"At the end of this year," Fiona answered him. "New Year's Eve."
Roy finally learned the truth about why the Demiliore Consortium had changed hands and why his Master's Family had moved out of Netheria.
For the next several minutes, he just sat by his mother's side, holding her hand, but then he took a deep breath and exhaled.
"Take care of yourself." He raised his head and met Harud's eyes, who laughed a little.
"I will." He promised. "But let's hold this Farewell chat another day. We are going to have some fun for the next two weeks."
"Of course."
"Why don't you go ask your girlfriend to get ready, and then we will go out and have our dinner in the city?" Alana suggested, and Roy rolled her eyes at his words.
"Again..."
"You should stop saying it in front of her, Roy. A girl who is interested in you doesn't like to be repeatedly told that she isn't your girlfriend." Even though she was still smiling, her words were serious, and it made the boy frown. "And yes, she is interested in you. Do you think people like her stay back at the Campus for no reason?"
"Come on, Roy. Never thought you would be the dense kind."
"Shut up." He groaned again at Harud's remark, but his mind was already racing now.
"Alright, go. Ask her if she would like to have dinner with us."
"I can text her."
"Idiot. Go." Harud pulled him by his arm and pushed him out of the room.
Alana and Fiona both laughed at their antics, and the former grinned at the boy who was chuckling to himself.
"Since when did you become so smart?"
"Hey, I was always smart!" He retorted. "By the way, I could not get a read on his Cultivation Realm. Does he have something on him that protects others from inspecting his body?"
"I have no idea." Alana shook her head. "Maybe Keith gave him something. Perhaps a Realm Sealing Artifact?"
"That must be it," Harud nodded to himself and then picked out his phone. "I will go make a call to Kashish and inform her that we have met Roy."
"Okay."
