~Blake~~
But how do we escape when there are guards everywhere? Leo whispered.
Honestly, I don't know, but I think we'll figure something else out. Do you know- before I could finish my sentence, the shithead leader walked in with his minions.
One shithead pointed towards us. These boys are pretty. I'm sure the boss and his friends would be happy with our choice of entertainment.
I cringed at the thought of entertaining those bastards. I could feel the pain in Leo's eyes as I squeezed his hand and assured him that everything would be okay.
Now, go to the kitchen, so you finish on time and clean up before we meet our boss. A smirk spread across their faces.
There was nothing more disgusting than that. I wished I could break his head. We walked to the kitchen and prepared a large amount of food. When we finished cooking, it was already four o'clock, and the guests arrived at five o'clock.
We got dragged into an apartment by the guards, and they dropped clothes onto us so we could change into them. One guard walked to me and cupped my face. I slapped his dirty hands off my face.
You're lucky you're seeing our boss. My knife would have been used to decorate your face. After our boss's done with you, I'll have a feel for you too. The guard grumbled.
As soon as Leo grabbed my hand, I thought, "We have to leave this place." So we left to freshen up.
As we followed the guards, I knew it was now or never. Hrrm, I cleared my throat. The salad needs to be dressed. I said to the guards, and we walked into the kitchen. I was pacing, thinking of what to do and how to escape this hellhole, when Leo touched me and said, "I'll distract them while you run."
Leo, I'm not leaving you behind, I whispered, put the stove on for me. I'm not leaving you behind. Let's boil oil. He looked at me, confused about why I had to boil oil for salad.
One guard walked in a few minutes later and yelled at us to hurry. We are almost done, Leo muttered to the guard, and the other guard asked why we were dragging our feet. Leo grabbed the knife. I carried the pot, and we asked them to cuff themselves. One guard charged at us and I poured hot oil on him. The other guard quickly clamped himself to the shelves.
As we ran out, we hid between buildings. The cars were coming in like there was a rave going on.
We saw a truck drive in. That's our way out I murmured to Leo. When it finished offloading, we made our way to it, before we could climb on the truck. They shot at us.
The bastard shot me. Leo screamed in pain, as they kept shooting at us until we were out of their sight. In less than half an hour's driving, the truck stopped at a familiar place, the restaurant.
I got down from the truck and helped Leo to climb down. Seeing as he is not healing, I placed his hand on my shoulder and held his waist in order to assist him in walking. Can you walk for a few minutes? I know somewhere safe we can hide; I whispered, and he nodded in response.
We sauntered in the cave's direction until we heard screams, followed by the sound of a gunshot as we approached the cave. Several bullets laced with yellow wolf's-bane shot at us, and someone shot me in the shoulder, while Leo received a bullet in the back as well. He fell to the ground. I crouched and picked him up. He was coughing out yellow blood.
Almost crying, Leo whispered with his throat, "Please don't leave me here to rot"
There is no way I will leave you, I replied calmly to him.
Thankfully, he smiled at me, and we walked into the cave together. We walked for two and a half hours before Leo collapsed in my hand, and I piggybacked him to where Alexander is. I placed him on the soft spot we landed a few weeks ago, and I made my way to see Alexander. He was still breathing softly, but the poison had sprayed on both sides of his hands. It broke my heart to see it, but I was glad he was alive.
As I rushed to check on Leo, I found he was not breathing. He was dead and cold. My heart felt heavy, and sadness crept into my gut. I sobbed so hard he was such a kind kid. This guy was a great kid and did not deserve what had happened to him.
I'm so sorry I could not save you, Leo. I constantly whispered to his stiff body, I'm so sorry.
As I thought to myself, I do not need a lot of ash, just an arm would do. The pain in my shoulder was severe, but I could burn Leo's arm to save Alexander's life. As soon as I removed my top, I started burning my shoulder where I had been shot before it slowly started healing.
After making the ash, I applied it all over Alexander's back and shoulders to make sure it was completely covered. I looked through his backpack and exhaled shakily. He had a lot of chips and biscuits with water. I was worried he'd be hungry once he woke up. Despite my exhaustion, I believe this to be a suitable place to bury Leo. It's peaceful. After spending hours digging the ground, he was finally resting.
As I walked back to Alexander, I took a deep breath, but he hadn't woken up yet, so I decided I would sleep instead.
A loud growl woke me up after hours of peaceful sleep.
I jolted from my sleep and saw Alexander shaking on the floor. You will be fine. The medicine is taking effect, and it will be over soon as I grip him.
