Y/N's POV
Kayden's gaze was fixed on my neck. I felt shy under his intense stare, so I quickly put my jacket back on.
Kayden: "NO!!! D-Don't, please!" 🙄
My eyes widened at his sudden outburst.
"W-What??" 😳 I looked at him, only to see him slowly leaning toward me.
Kayden: "I-I said don't wear that again, Y/N… You'll get cold." 🙄
I nodded hesitantly, but he didn't move away. He kept leaning closer, his face mere inches from mine. My heartbeat quickened.
"K-Kayden… W-What are you doing???" 😳
He gently placed a finger on my lips.
Kayden: "Shhh… Y/N, you're so beautiful." 😳
I felt my cheeks burn. 'Oh no… is he going to kiss me?!' I panicked at the thought.
"K-Kayden—" 😳
But before I could finish, he suddenly pulled back and moved to his seat again.
Kayden: "Yo-Your seatbelt." 🙄
I blinked in confusion, then looked down at my seatbelt. 'Oh… he was just helping me with that.'
Kayden: "You forgot again." 😅
His face was slightly red, and I was sure mine was, too.
Kayden: "We should get to the office." 😅
I nodded, still flustered. That's when I noticed his shirt—it was completely soaked from the rain earlier.
"Hmm… Kayden?" 😯
He turned to look at me.
Kayden: "Hmm?" 🙂
I was shamelessly staring at his wet shirt, and his chest was totally visible through the fabric. Before I could look away, he caught me.
Kayden: "Don't worry, I have another one in the back seat. I'll change." 😄
I sighed in relief, but when he moved back to his seat again, I froze. 'Wait… He's changing here?!'
My eyes widened as I saw him unbutton his shirt. I quickly turned my head to look outside. 'Oh god… He has an amazing body. He could totally be an actor—girls would go crazy over him.' 😳
I gulped, trying to compose myself. After a moment, I thought he was done, but when I glanced at him again… he still hadn't buttoned his shirt. My gaze trailed down his chest, then his abs—
I felt his eyes on me.
Flustered, I quickly turned my head back to the window, pretending to be interested in the view outside. A few seconds later, I heard the sound of the engine starting.
The rest of the car ride was silent and awkward.
When we reached the office, I didn't dare look at his face. Kayden told me to go with Mr. Ben, then hurried into the elevator as if he was running away from something.

At the Office
Mr. Ben: "So, are you alright, dear?" 😀
I smiled. "Yes, Uncle. Thanks for asking." 😌
He nodded approvingly.
Mr. Ben: "Okay, let's go. We have some important work to do." 😀
I nodded and followed him. He gave me some files to arrange in alphabetical order while he worked on his computer. An hour passed, and I was still organizing the files when Mr. Ben stretched and stood up.
Mr. Ben: "Dear, let's go home. You can finish this tomorrow, okay?" 😃
I smiled and nodded. "Okay, Uncle!" 🙂
He looked at me with concern.
Mr. Ben: "Ah… How will you get home? It's dark outside. Let me drop you off." 🤔
"Ah, Uncle, don't worry! I can go—" 😅
But he cut me off.
Mr. Ben: "Dear, it's getting late. Listen to me, okay?" 🤔
I sighed. He was such a fatherly figure—it was impossible to say no to him.
Mr. Ben: "So… let's go." 😀
I nodded.
"But I need to inform the boss first." 😅
Mr. Ben: "Okay, I'll come with you." 😌
We walked to Kayden's office, and I knocked on the door.
Kayden: "Come in." 🙂
We entered and saw Kayden typing on his laptop. He stopped and looked at me.
Kayden: "Ah, Y/N. I was about to call you. Just give me five minutes, then we'll go—" 🙂
Mr. Ben: "Don't worry, boss. I'll drop her off, so you don't have to hurry." 😄
Kayden paused. His expression changed slightly.
Kayden: "A-I-Okay… fine. I mean, it's good to know… Hmm. You can go then." 😐
He turned back to his laptop.
"Bye, sir!" 😀 I said, but he just nodded without looking at me.
Mr. Ben: "Let's go, dear." 😃
I nodded and followed him out.

At Home
After saying goodbye to Mr. Ben, I reached my apartment. As soon as I stepped inside, I saw Emma… burning something.
Emma: "Oh no! I burned it again!!!" 😰
I burst into laughter.
Emma: "Oh hey, Y/N! How was your first day at the office? Did Kayden say something? Te—" 🤪
"Emma—" 😄
Before I could say anything, my phone buzzed. I picked it up.
"Hello?" 🤨
??? "Ah, babe… Don't tell me you forgot about our date?" ☺️
My heart dropped. 'Oh no, it's him again—Mr. Annoying.'
"I-I… Don't worry. I won't forget, okay?" 😓
I heard his amused chuckle.
Mr. Annoying: "Hahaha… Good. And yeah, don't wear anything that makes you uncomfortable, okay? You look gorgeous in any outfit." 😊
For some reason, his words made my heart race.
"I— B-Bye!" 😓
I quickly ended the call and sighed. 'Y/N, you're an idiot.'
Emma smirked at me.
Emma: "So… did he ask you out on a date?" 🤗
I frowned. "Y-Yes." 😓
Emma: "Y/N, don't worry. Kayden is a nice man." 🤗
She hugged me, and I sighed. 'If only she knew… It's not Kayden. It's Mr. Annoying.' 😰
"Emma, I—" 🙄
Emma: "Oh no! I have to prepare your clothes, shoes, and makeup!" 🤪
She ran off into her room. I sighed. 'Should I tell her that her favorite actor is the one being an idiot and asking me on a date? But… I don't know how she'll react.' 😑
'It's better if I just go on this date and end it once and for all. Then I'll tell her everything.'
Shaking off my thoughts, I went to take a bath. As I thought about him, I glared at my phone. I had saved his contact as Mr. Annoying. 😒
After getting dressed, I walked into the kitchen and saw Emma struggling with cooking again.
"Emma, what are you making? Let me help you." 😁
Emma: "Ah, it's nothing… Actually, Max likes chicken soup, so I was trying to make it for him… but it tastes horrible. Can you teach me, Y/N?" 😒
I smiled.
"Of course, Emma! I'd love to help. And I'm really happy to see you like this… I mean, you never cared about someone this much—except for me and Bella—" 😊
Emma's expression darkened.
Emma: "Don't, Y/N. Just don't say her name in front of me. You don't know anything about her!" 😤
I was shocked. Emma and Bella were best friends… What happened between them? 😯
"Oh… but I—" 😲
Emma: "Forget it. Let's just order food and go to my room. I have some dresses to show you for tomorrow." 😚
