As she carefully injected the blood sample into Rose's body, she couldn't shake off the feeling of uncertainty. The lab was dimly lit, with only a few fluorescent lights humming overhead. The air was thick with anticipation, and the scent of disinfectant hung heavy. Alongside the blood samples, she noticed the strong tree roots and a hard branch that her team had moulded into two solid limbs, carefully crafted to fit Rose's severed legs. The limbs looked eerily similar to the amputated legs, but something wasn't quite right.
Dr. Maru's eyes narrowed as she watched the monitors, her mind racing with possibilities. She requested a full-body scan to determine why the blood sample hadn't elicited a response, despite matching Rose's blood group. The machine whirred to life, and the sound of beeping filled the room.
Suddenly, the monitors flatlined, and the body began to vibrate violently. "Shit, shit! Use epinephrine, stat!" Dr. Maru barked, her voice laced with urgency. "How much?" someone asked, but Dr. Maru's response was curt: "Enough to make a difference. Don't worry about the dosage."
The atmosphere in the room grew more chaotic, with everyone scrambling to administer interventions. Dr. Maru's eyes locked onto the monitors, her mind racing with questions. Why was the body rejecting the blood? She decided to try another serum, this time with a different batch of blood.
The shock began to resolve, but Rose's heart rate slowed, and her body temperature plummeted. One of the scientists, who had worked with Dr. Maru on the Klaus experiment, hesitated before suggesting, "Let's try Klaus's blood sample." His hands trembled as he held out the tube, uncertainty etched on his face.
Dr. Maru's eyes flicked to the scientist, and for a moment, she seemed to consider the proposal. Then, with a swift motion, she took the tube and injected the serum into Rose's body. The room held its collective breath as the monitors beeped erratically.
Slowly, Rose's vital signs began to stabilize, and the burns on her body showed a faint sign of healing. It was as if Klaus's blood had awakened something within her, sparking a glimmer of hope in the midst of chaos.
As the monitors beeped steadily, and Rose's vital signs stabilized, the tension in the room began to dissipate. Dr. Maru let out a deep breath, her shoulders relaxing slightly. The team exchanged relieved glances, their faces etched with exhaustion and worry.
"Thank goodness," one of the scientists whispered, wiping sweat from her forehead.
Dr. Maru's eyes never left Rose's face as she instructed, "Let's get her on a ventilator and stabilize her vital signs. We need to monitor her closely."
The team sprang into action, efficiently securing Rose to the ventilator and hooking up various monitors. Dr. Maru turned to the scientist who had suggested using Klaus's blood.
"You were right," she said, her voice softening slightly. "Your instincts saved her."
The scientist nodded, still looking uncertain. "I just thought... maybe we could gamble th healing properties about Klaus's blood..."
Dr. Maru's gaze lingered on the scientist before she turned back to Rose. "We'll need to run some tests to understand what Klaus's blood can further do , knowing how to hand that double edge property changes everything."
As the team continued to work, the atmosphere in the room shifted from chaos to cautious optimism. They had averted disaster, but the implications of what had just happened were profound.
Dr. Maru's eyes narrowed as she gazed at Rose's face. "Let's get to the bottom of this. Prepare the necessary equipment for further testing."
The team nodded, their movements efficient and focused. They knew that this discovery could be the key to unlocking new possibilities, but also more cruelty.
Few hours passed since the further success of rose surgery. Her eyes which were said to have been damaged due to severe burn had now recovered to an extent though, all she could see in was blur it was better than just being blind totally.
Her legs were covered since the preparation for making the new limb attachable wasn't something Al the surgeons and doctors present could do but what the know for sure was that Dr Maru had the situation all under control. More blood supply was need to further strengthen rose's recovery and so the had no other way but to request Klaus be brought into the lab once again.
A different set of people were asked come in to assist in making of a living new limb instead of a prostate which most scientists use. Unlike the first batch of hands who helped in stabilizing rose condition, this time only one person, a male neatly dressed in sac clothing and a long thin gown underneath her sac cloth was the only one needs for the second round of treatment.
Klaus who was sitting in a meditative position was brought to the lab this time with less restraint around his arms since there was already a collar placed on his hand on his way to the lab.
Looking around, Klaus wondered what next it was in for him to be brought into the lab. Was he going to undergo another series of painful experiment on his body ? He thought unable to comprehend what was going on. The guards who brought him to the lab were dismissed, with the exit of unwanted attention, rose was pushed in the lab from another entrance along with a blood bag with very less beside her to supply her blood.
Dr. Maru also behind her pushed in a root like limb with different runes craved on each sides of the limb. Klaus who saw rose face felt the urge to vomit since the burns on rose face had very much disfigured her but compared to few hours ago, her face and body had recovered considerably.
"Let's start the blood transfusion"
" Should the donor be awake?"
" Just do it "
Dr Maru ordered not minding the pain either party was going to go through.
" How laughable, you want my blood to heal someone but you treat me like an object which can be discarded. Aren't you afraid I'll kill her" Klaus expressed his thoughts very much angry with Dr Maru attitude.
" Do you think you have a choice her" she questioned unaffected by Klaus remarks.
" You'll see " he smiled.
As soon as the needle pierced into his arm, the needled disintegrated into dust in an instant making them all bewildered , luckily rose was already put to sleep. He placed his hands on the collar around his head also disintegrating it into dust.
