"It seems you haven't eaten the whole day," Alisha remarked with a smile.
"Truly, I'm starving," Maddie replied as she took another satisfying bite of rice.
"How was your vacation with your man? I trust you had a blast?" Alisha teased, knowing how much Maddie enjoyed her time away.
"It was fantastic; I had so much fun. I also got you some goodies; they're in the packages I brought earlier," Maddie replied.
"All those things for me?" Alisha said with gratitude, blowing imaginary kisses to her friend.
"Enough about me, how did it go with your boss, Mr. Zeriel? Did he finally confess his feelings to you?" Maddie asked, curiosity dancing in her eyes as she sipped her juice.
Alisha's face lit up with a smile. "Well... he did, and we're officially dating."
"I told you he would! Tell me how it happened, don't skip any details," Maddie urged, leaning in with anticipation.
