"Mr. Zane, let's hurry outside and take a look," said the Scarlett Witch, her voice filled with urgency. She was certain something serious had happened; otherwise, there wouldn't have been such a commotion outside.
"Alright, let's go immediately. We can't waste any more time. If we're late, things might spiral completely out of control out there," Zane replied.
Without hesitation, he grabbed the Scarlett Witch's hand and ran toward the exit. Even in such a critical moment, this shameless man couldn't resist taking advantage of her. His behavior was as brazen as ever.
The Scarlett Witch frowned deeply at Zane's actions, clearly displeased. However, given the gravity of the situation outside, she decided it wasn't worth arguing over such a minor matter.
Zane, of course, had calculated that she wouldn't protest in such a situation. Emboldened, he continued to hold her hand as they rushed out together, shamelessly taking liberties.
Once outside, they saw the aftermath of a massive explosion. The sight left Zane perplexed.
"What on earth happened here? Why would an explosion occur out of nowhere?" Zane asked, his brow furrowing in confusion. The situation didn't make any sense to him.
Before he could process it further, another deafening explosion echoed through the air, coming from not far away. Zane's confusion deepened.
"Mr. Zane, the explosion came from over there! Let's hurry and check it out," the Scarlett Witch said, pointing in a direction.
Hearing her, Zane quickly tightened his grip on her hand and ran toward the source of the explosion. He was filled with urgency, knowing that if these explosions continued, the entire city could be destroyed.
The two arrived at the scene of the explosion in no time. There, they saw a young man with fiery red hair standing amidst the chaos. His expression was twisted with malice, and he looked as if he wanted to destroy the entire world.
"Beautiful lady, do you know this guy?" Zane asked the Scarlett Witch, his voice filled with curiosity. He certainly didn't recognize the man and wondered if she did.
"Mr. Zane, I don't know him either. Who is this person? I truly have no idea," the Scarlett Witch replied, shaking her head in bewilderment.
The Scarlett Witch furrowed her brows slightly and said seriously, "I really don't know this guy. Even among mutants, he should be a newcomer. He's never appeared before, and I don't know his name."
"Since you don't know his name, let me go ask him!" Zane replied, then walked over to the young man. Seeing the malicious look on his face, Zane's confusion deepened.
"Hey, kid, what's your name? Why are you causing destruction here?" Zane said sternly, confronting the red-haired youth. This kid was so bold, causing destruction without a care. He was incredibly reckless.
The red-haired youth, upon seeing Zane, immediately raised his hand and waved it lightly in Zane's direction. Zane furrowed his brows upon seeing this gesture. He felt a powerful surge of energy around him, which suddenly exploded.
Zane's power was immense, and he immediately understood what the kid was trying to do. He could feel the surrounding energy stirring, but it posed no harm to him. When the space around him erupted, a thin protective shield appeared around Zane. Though the shield wasn't thick, it was enough to protect him.
"Heh, little one, you've got quite a temper. Let me wake you up a bit!" Zane sneered coldly, then approached the red-haired youth. He swung his fist and struck the youth's head hard, sending him crashing to the ground.
The red-haired youth had never expected Zane to defeat him in this manner. He was furious. Although his strength wasn't initially remarkable, he now felt a surge of power within himself. No one should be able to defeat him. Zane daring to confront him only fueled his rage.
"You bastard! I'll fight you to the death!"
The youth roared, charging at Zane with the intent to fight him in a life-or-death struggle.
"Heh, what a fool. Since you want to fight to the death, I'll show you what a real punch feels like!" Zane grinned and swung his fist toward the red-haired youth again.
The red-haired youth thought he was something special, but to Zane, he was nothing. If Zane wanted to kill him, it would be easy with no pressure at all.
Zane raised his fist and struck the red-haired youth hard on the head. As the youth got close, Zane's punch sent him crashing to the ground.
The red-haired youth never imagined that Zane's punch would be so powerful. He was stunned by the strength of the blow, and the pain left him feeling humiliated.
Blood began pouring from the red-haired youth's nose. Upon seeing his own blood, his rage reached a boiling point. He could not believe that he had been so thoroughly beaten that blood had spilled from him. He was unable to accept this.
"You bastard! I'll fight you to the death!"
The red-haired youth shouted at Zane, his blood turning into fiery red sparks, filled with a violent, explosive energy. Zane observed the scene and realized that the youth's power was likely explosive in nature—every part of his body seemed capable of causing an explosion.
"Not bad. That's a great ability. Too bad it's wasted on you. How about you hand it over to me?"
Zane sneered coldly, then extended his hand toward the red-haired youth. The youth saw Zane's hand approaching and felt a deep fear. Normally, he wouldn't have been afraid, but for some reason, he felt an overwhelming terror deep inside.
Instinctively, the red-haired youth tried to run, but no matter how hard he tried to escape, he couldn't avoid Zane's grasp. It felt as if some immense force was pulling him toward Zane's hand.
"You bastard! What do you think you're doing?!"
The red-haired youth shouted in fury, nearly driven to madness. He had no idea what Zane was planning, but the fear of the unknown consumed him.
"Hahaha, what am I doing? You're about to find out."
Zane chuckled darkly, and his hand began to absorb energy from the red-haired youth's body. The youth felt as though his very blood was being drained away by Zane's touch.
