"You can call me Jace, mother," Jace corrected. "We're family, remember?" Jace said and casually squeezed Grace's waist, who almost jerked but stopped herself just in time.
'Why are you all handsy and flirty today?… show some decorum,' the gaze she threw at him spelled out.
Eleanor caught the quick exchange of silent glares between them and suppressed a chuckle.
"You're quite confident, aren't you?" she mused.
Jace leaned back slightly, giving a lazy grin. "I prefer to think of it as being decisive."
Eleanor smirked. "I haven't agreed to give my daughter to you yet," she said but one could tell she was only joking. Her blessings have been given even before they asked for it. Her daughter's happiness was her happiness and she could see that there was an unusual peace around Grace every time she interacted with her boyfriend.
"Yet. I'm sure you will when the time comes," she heard Jace say and saw his eyes gleaming with amusement.
