Chapter 24 - Journey to southern kingdom

As our journey towards Oumaya began, we found ourselves amidst a diverse group of travelers, each with their own reasons for fleeing. Some headed towards the capital of Espona, seeking refuge or answers amidst the chaos, while others, like us, chose the path towards Oumaya, hoping for safety and a new beginning.

Along the way, we encountered various caravan groups making their own treacherous journeys. Despite the hardships of travel, we offered our assistance whenever we could, helping with tasks in exchange for food and shelter. It was a humbling experience, seeing the resilience and camaraderie among those displaced by the conflict.

As we traveled, the landscape changed, each mile bringing us closer to our destination and further from the turmoil we left behind. Yet, uncertainty lingered in the air, overshadowing our hopes for a better future. Nevertheless, we pressed on, driven by the shared determination to find solace and security in the land of Oumaya.

As we took a break during our journey, Joshua wandered off to the nearby river to fetch some water. To our surprise, he stumbled upon a cluster of beautiful flowers growing along the riverbank. With a mischievous grin, he plucked a few and brought them back to show me. Despite their resemblance to jasmine, the fragrance that wafted from them was a delightful blend of roses and other floral scents.

I couldn't help but marvel at the flowers' presence in this area. Normally, these blooms were native to dense and magical forests, often inhabited by mystical creatures like dragons or monsters. Their appearance here, close to the path leading to Granada City in the Oumaya Kingdom, puzzled me. It seemed out of place, yet somehow enchanting.

Although we couldn't unravel the mystery of how these flowers ended up here, I saw an opportunity. In Granada City, such unique and exotic blooms could fetch a good price. With this in mind, I suggested to Joshua that we gather some of the flowers to sell once we reached our destination. It could be a way for us to earn a little extra money to support ourselves on our journey.
