Rossette said in a sweet and almost playful voice as she dabbed a damp cloth against Conrad's face. She worked to wipe away the thick layer of blood that had dried in streaks across his cheeks.
The bloody rain may have stopped but the lingering scent of iron still lingered heavily in the air. It still made him feel nauseous, but it wasn't that bad.
He has been exposed to it long enough to get used to it now.
Connie and Rossette sat on a lone bench near the clearing of the destruction that had just taken place. It sat in an area where the slashes didn't reach so it was untouched.
The girl was still drenched in blood herself, and it was starting to harden, but she paid no attention to her own state. She was humming softly under her breath as she diligently tended to Connie and acted like nothing happened.
Connie was still trying to process it all.
