The Fairy Power grumbled under its breath but obeyed. "Fine… shutting up now..."
As silence finally settled, Luo Bai felt some relief.
Now that his mind was clear, he began integrating the Phoenix Force.
Earlier, the Fairy Power had completely absorbed the Phoenix Force from Jean Grey's body. Although it was just a fragment of its full power, the energy contained in it was incredibly strong.
Trying to merge such a powerful force all at once, Luo Bai felt a sense of discomfort.
After meditating in a dimensional space for a long time, he finally succeeded in integrating the Phoenix Force into his body.
Once he confirmed that he was no longer experiencing any discomfort, Luo Bai decided to test its power.

"This power is incredible…" Luo Bai murmured, watching the Phoenix Flames swirl in his grasp.
"This is just a fragment of the Phoenix Force. If I were to gather all of its power and transform into the White Phoenix, I can't even imagine how terrifying I would become."
From what Luo Bai understood, the Phoenix Force possessed a strong will of its own.
Even Jean Grey—its most perfect host—was still affected by its consciousness, often leading to her losing control.
But now, standing here with its power in his grasp, Luo Bai felt nothing of the sort.
He wasn't being controlled at all.
It must be because of the Fairy Power, he realized.
The Fairy Power had suppressed the Phoenix Force's will, preventing it from influencing him.
Not only that, but it also stopped the Phoenix Force from draining his life force—something even Jean Grey couldn't avoid.
The Fairy Power is acting like a bridge, Luo Bai thought.
It was forming a balance between him and the Phoenix Force, ensuring that its influence couldn't reach him.
With no side effects to worry about, Luo Bai could now use the Phoenix Force freely.
And considering the Phoenix Force's legendary healing and resurrection abilities…
Doesn't this mean I'm practically immortal now?
Understanding this, Luo Bai felt a wave of relief.
He withdrew the Phoenix Force and turned his attention back to Jean Grey.
Without the Phoenix Force, Jean collapsed to the ground, looking lifeless.
Luo Bai extended his hand, channeling dark magic to transfer some of his energy into Jean's body.
As the power flowed into her, her closed eyes suddenly snapped open.
Seeing that she had regained consciousness, Luo Bai exhaled and closed the Mirror Dimension with his mind.
The distorted space disappeared in an instant, and they returned to the real world.
Almost immediately, Professor X and the X-Men arrived.
Seeing Luo Bai and Jean Grey standing there, the X-Men rushed forward.
Professor X's voice was filled with concern. "Jean… are you alright?"
Jean, still dazed, nodded slowly. "I'm fine… it's just… I feel like the power inside me is gone."

At this moment, Luo Bai spoke up.
"The power inside you hasn't disappeared—it was absorbed by me."
As soon as those words left his mouth, everyone was stunned.
The X-Men exchanged glances, uncertain of how to react.
However, Cyclops was the boldest among them. He stepped forward, voicing the question weighing on everyone's mind.
"Why? Why did you absorb Jean's power?"
Luo Bai, as the Sorcerer Supreme, was not someone who acted unreasonably.
After a brief moment of thought, he calmly responded, "I need this power. Besides... she willingly gave it up. Jean, have you forgotten what you said?"
As Luo Bai's gaze fell on her, Jean Grey suddenly remembered.
She had said that she wanted the Phoenix Force gone.
Because now, she remembered everything.
Her childhood.
Memories surged back into her mind, and in that moment, Jean Grey's mental state collapsed.
"It was you! You used your abilities to make me forget, didn't you?!" she screamed, her voice trembling.
"My parents' car accident… My mother died… It was all because of my powers, wasn't it?! My father sent me to Xavier's School because he didn't want me anymore, didn't he?!"
Jean Grey broke down completely, her voice filled with agony.
Professor X watched in silence, realization dawning in his eyes—Jean had remembered everything.
But he didn't know how to answer her.
After a long pause, he finally opened his mouth to speak, but—
"Why did you seal my memories?!" Jean suddenly shrieked, cutting him off.
"Who gave you the right to decide for me?!"
Her voice echoed through the room, raw with anger and betrayal.
But Professor X remained silent.
He didn't try to defend himself.
He didn't offer an explanation.
He simply stood there, his expression unreadable.
At that moment, Jean's eyes landed on Mystique, who lay lifelessly on the ground.
A horrifying realization struck her.
Before Luo Bai arrived, she had lost control due to the Phoenix Force.
Mystique had tried to reach out to her, to wake her up.
And then…
Jean had accidentally killed her.
Her breath hitched.
Her body trembled.
She stared at Mystique's corpse.
"Mystique… I killed her, didn't I?" Jean asked, her voice barely above a whisper.
She turned to the X-Men, searching for answers.
But no one met her gaze.
No one spoke.
Yet, she saw it—
The hatred.
The anger.
It was in their eyes.
Though they said nothing, Jean understood everything.
A tear slipped down her cheek.
She turned back to Luo Bai, her voice shaking.
"Master Luo Bai… you were right. This power… it will only destroy me. I can't control it at all…"
As she spoke, tears streamed down her face, falling silently onto Mystique's body.
