Nick hissed but still answered the call and put it up to his ear.
"Hello?"
"Kiddo. Where are you? I want us to have a chat," Boss Falco quickly said.
Nick's eyebrows folded a bit.
"I'm not… at home currently, so maybe another—"
"Where are you? I'll come pick you up," Boss Falco cut Nick off.
"Boss, don't bother. I'm already going home. I can inform you when I'm back." He was starting to get annoyed.
Boss Falco laughed at the other end. "What the fuck? Inform me when you're back? Am I your wife?"
His tone immediately took on a more serious note as he said, "Kid, I asked you where you are."
Nick fell silent. 'Why is he pestering me like this? What does he want now?'
He sighed and answered, "I'm at a music store in the shopping district."
Boss Falco spoke with a smile, "Good. Wait there, I'll pick you up."
"Okay… boss," Nick said. 'I'll just take an e-Driver home first, then I'll make up some excuse when he calls. Let me see what you're going to do then.'
