Even if one believes they will never change, they eventually find themselves changed by others—after all, everything now lies before your eyes, and it's too late to change it. You must face it, accept it, and even let it overwhelm you; only then might you fare somewhat better.
If you continually resist destiny, the only outcome is mutual destruction. You will gain nothing, for destiny always manipulates you, and those who try to manipulate destiny never meet a good end.
