The next early morning;
Naruto yawned as he stretched his body feeling a lot better than the last couple of days. He looked outside his bedroom window as the first light of the morning started to shine over the horizon.
Yesterday he already took a quick nap in his mother's embrace, then at night he went to bed early.
He didn't do anything yesterday after returning home. And for today he will do some physical exercises and nothing else. He plans to rest properly today, which his mother also insisted on doing.
So he left his home and after a quick run and a short but intense exercise, he returned home, took a shower, had breakfast and said goodbye to his mother and little sister before leaving the house again. He wore a comfortable dark clothing with his headband hanging loosely around his neck.
Naruto went to he Hokage monument first. He sat on the top of his father's head watching the clouds and the early morning sunlight. He really appreciated the quiet and peaceful scenery after the couple of hectic past few days.
He watched from the top as Shinobi jumped from roof top to roof top and civilians started to fill the streets. It would have made him smile if not for how most of them look and treat him.
After a bit, Naruto left the monument and walked through the village towards the Naka river. He sighed slightly as he felt the negative emotions directed towards him from the people along his path.
'They don't change, do they?' Naruto thought to himself.
He soon reached the river and sat on the high grassy bank of it. Near him he could see an empty small wooden dock stretching slightly into the river.
'That would make a good spot for fishing' Naruto thought to himself as he laid back on the slightly angled grassy ground.
"I really should get some hobbies" said Naruto to himself with a bored tone. He wants to relax, but doing nothing is getting boring very quickly.
Aside from training, studying, hospital work and missions, the only thing that he does for fun is the times he plays shogi with the Nara clan head. And those rarely happen as Shikaku and he are often busy. Also reading can't really count as all his reading material is related to his studies.
'Yeah, you reallyshould.' came a surprising reply in Naruto's head making him blink.
Knowing where it came from, He closed his eyes before opening them again inside his mindscape.
Inside the seal space;
"You don't have to rub it in, kyuubi." Naruto said to the Kyuubi who is laying on the soft grass inside the seal.
"It is the truth, kit. You have no life outside training and studying." Said the Kyuubi with one eye looking at Naruto
"What about you then. Do you have hobbies?" asked Naruto only to receive a deadpan look in return.
"Due to my current situation. I can only sleep and see what ever you see." The Kyuubi said in a bored tone making Naruto chuckle embarrassingly.
" I want to thank you again for helping me through what happened with the bandits." Said Naruto with sincerity
"Don't think much of it, kit. I couldn't watch you tear into yourself over those vile beings." Kyuubi said
"Thank you nonetheless." said Naruto to which he received a huff from the tailed beast.
Naruto then walked towards the seal and sat in front of it.
"Hey Kyuubi, don't you think it time for you to tell me a bit about yourself?" asked Naruto.
"What would you like to know, kit?" said the kyuubi giving Naruto its full attention.
"I would like to know about you. What is your name, age, gender? as calling you 'it' doesn't sound right. You are a very intelligent being after all" inquired Naruto.
"You are lucky that you are the only human I like, kit." said the Kyuubi with a slight grin
"you flatter me." said Naruto a bit embarrassed
"Well, kit. My name is Kurama. I a bit older than a millennium. We tailed beasts are genderless with no male or female parts as we are all made entirely of chakra. But we developed male or female personality." said the Kyuubi
"Wow, you are old." said Naruto
"Didn't your mother teach you not to make fun of a woman's age?" said the kyuubi with an irritated huff.
"Wait. you are a female?" Naruto exclaimed
"Is there a problem with that?" said the Kyuubi with a dangerous edge to her voice.
Naruto gulped slightly before saying: "No, its not that you are a female. It is just your deep voice. It made me think you are a guy."
Kyuubi gave him a look before saying: "When you are my size, the deep voice comes with it. I can change it if you want.For a second I thought you had a problem with me being a female."
"You know my mom is the strongest kunoichi, so knowing that the strongest bijuu is female doesn't make me think of you differently." Naruto said with a deadpan look in his face before continuing: "As for your voice, if you can change it, then please do. At least with me. When I hear your rough deep voice while knowing you are a girl, It is hard to think of you as one and I can't help but think about 'if my mum and sister had a voice like it' and I don't like it at all."
"Fair enough" said the kyuubi
" Here, is this better now?" asked the Kyuubi but in a rich and attractive feminine voice.
"Yeah, a lot better. Your previous voice is for intimidation for sure." said Naruto
"Well of course, I had to frighten my victims." said The kyuubi with a grin making Naruto chuckle.
"About your name, don't you think 'Kurama' is a guy's name?" asked Naruto.
"My siblings and I were given our names when we were very young. We couldn't even speak at that time. You can call me Kura or Kurumi if you want." said the Kyuubi.
"Well, It is nice to finally know you Kurumi." Said Naruto with a smile
"It is a pleasure, Kit." said Kurumi with a grin
(A/N: 'To be clear, I just wanted to change Naruto's and The kyuubi's dynamic from the original story to something else. They are going to have a bother and older sister relationship. A sister that sometimes teases her younger sibling, as an older sister would and that is it. There will be no weird or intimate relationship between them. P.S, For me I would never want another being sealed inside me, let alone a guy.')
"Are you always going to call me 'kit'?" asked Naruto
"Yes, I will most of the time. To me you are still a small baby." said Kurumi with a teasing grin and tone.
Naruto got a bit embarrassed and huffed before saying: " suit yourself." making Kurumi chuckle a bit.
"Hey, Kurumi." called Naruto
"What is it, Kit?" asked Kurumi
"Where did you and the other tailed beasts come from?" asked Naruto
Kurumi thought for a bit before sighing and saying: "I am sorry, kit. But I can't really talk about that now."
"Is it bad?" Naruto said with abit of worry in his tone.
"It isn't bad, kit. It is that my and my siblings origins is a bit complicated which closely relate with how your world is shaped today. So for your sake, I will withhold that information until you are older and stronger." said Kurumi making Naruto become silent while thinking.
After a bit of silence, Kurumi perked up feeling something. She looked at Naruto before saying: "You should leave, Kit. I feel three small signatures coming near you."
Naruto started to stand up while saying: "Yeah, I feel them. They don't feel hostile though, so everything should be fine."
As Naruto prepared to leave he smile slightly at Kurumi and said: "See you later, Kura." before disappearing from the seal.
Kurumi looked at where Naruto was and smiled slightly.
"I really lucked out with this one." She muttered to herself thinking of Naruto's treatment to her so far.
Her current Jinchuriki can be considered an absolute angel compared to her pervious two. In the beginning, She was sealed in complete isolation inside Hashirama's wife, Mito, for a couple of decades.
It was bad, dark and lonely but that couldn't compare with her time with Kushina. Even though she was with her for a bit over a decade, Kurumi hated it more that her isolation inside Mito. She was sealed on a floating moon like structure with her tails, limbs and abdomen pined to it. She hated every second inside that woman.
Naruto may view Kushina as a loving big sister or mother-figure. But to Kurumi, that woman was the devil.
Kurumi would have killed her the moment she escaped from the seal. But the sincere promise she got from the first decent human she met since her creator about millennium ago made her reluctantly stop.
And she didn't regret it one bit till now.
Back on the Naka river bank;
Naruto opened his eyes then narrowed it as the sun was directly shining into them.
'It seem that the time is a bit in the late afternoon, I should go have lunch soon.' Naruto thought to himself as he felt his hunger rising.
He then turned his head as he sat up to look at who is approaching him and blinked with in a bit of surprise.
About a half hour ago;
Itachi left his home with his baby brother hanging on a sling around his body. His mother encouraged him to leave and take his brother to get some fresh air saying something under her breath about his father meeting important people in his house.
He walked with his sleeping brother for a bit inside the village and as he was about to return home he met Izumi.
They exchanged greetings and walked together along the Naka river towards their clan compound.
As they walked home, Itachi stopped when he spotted a familiar individual laying on the angled bank of the river.
"Someone you know, Itachi-kun?" asked Izumi looking towards the person Itachi looking at.
"Yeah." Itachi replied simply before walking towards Naruto
"Hey, wait." Izumi called out and quickly following Itachi.
At present time;
"Good afternoon, Naruto-san" Itachi said
"Good afternoon, Itachi. What are you doing here?" asked Naruto as he patted the ground next him for them to sit.
"I just went for a walk with my bother and I am on my way home now." Itachi said as he sat on the grass with Izumi following suit.
"Aren't going to introduce me to your friend?" asked Naruto with a raised eyebrow.
Before Itachi could reply, Izumi said: "I am Izumi Uchiha. Nice to meet you." with a slight bow to her head.
"I am Naruto Uzumaki, Genin of Konoha. Nice to meet you too, Izumi." Naruto with a polite smile.
Itachi blinked at Naruto's different surname from the one he knew but didn't comment.
"I am surprised, Naruto-san. I did know Itachi-kun knew anyone outside the clan." Izumi said with a bit of wonder.
"That should be my question. I didn't know Itachi had any friends outside Shisui and me and a girl at that." Naruto said with a chuckle making Izumi giggle.
The noise made the sleeping Sasuke wake up and look around. When he spotted Naruto, he smiled showing his teething gums and stretched his arms towards Naruto while gurgling.
Naruto smile slightly before looking at Itachi and asked: "May I?" to which Itachi nodded slightly.
Naruto reached and carried Sasuke out of the sling under Izumi's astonished glaze.
"Hey there little buddy." said Naruto in a soft voice while rubbing his finger tip on the baby's cheek earning him a happy giggle.
Izumi pouted and huffed looking at he scene in front of her making Naruto look at her.
"What with the look?" Naruto asked Izumi
"I can't do that with him. I only seen him like that with Mikoto-sama and Itachi-kun. The moment he is in my arms, he starts crying and we are a family from the same clan. And here he is happy with someone from outside the clan, no offence Naruto-san." Izumi said pouting
"None taken." Naruto replied with a chuckle.
'Jokes on you, the four of us have Uchiha blood.' Naruto joked to himself to which got a huff of amusement from Kurumi.
"Well, him being happy with his mother is obvious. Maybe he is only happy with his older brothers?" Naruto said with a teasing grin.
"Since when we are brothers, Naruto-san?" Itachi asked blank tone before Izumi could say anything.
"You are breaking my heart, Itachi" said Naruto with a mock hurt tone.
"You may not think of me as your brother. But I am sure little Sasuke thinks of me as one. Don't you, Sasuke?" Naruto asked the baby as he held him near his face, to which Sasuke giggled happy while moving his limbs in excitement.
Naruto looked a Itachi with a smug expression to which Itachi turned around to hide is face making Naruto burst out in laughter while Izumi looked at Itachi in surprise.
"We did it, Sasuke. We made that stoic and uptight brother of yours Jealous." Naruto said as he calmed his laughter while hugging the happily squealing baby to his chest.
A peaceful silence fell on the group after that as they looked into the river.
After a bit, Naruto stood up and gave Sasuke back to Itachi before saying: " I will be leaving now. I still need to have lunch as I am starving." To which Itachi and Izumi nodded.
"See you both later then. and It was nice to meet you, Izumi." Naruto said his good byes before turning to Sasuke and tapping his nose softly with the tip of his finger before saying: " See you later, little man."
Naruto then proceeded to make his way to his favorite Ramen stand.
"Naruto-san is a nice person. don't you think so, Itachi-kun?" Izumi said as she watched Naruto leave but she was met with silence
"Itachi-kun?" Izumi called as she looked at Itachi only to find him silent with a determined look on his face.
Why won't he have one?
As of Now, He has a rival for the favorite older brother position.
