Chapter 426 - Chapter 426: Shrinking Spell

The room was filled with small, black-furred dwarves with pointed faces and sharp snouts; they were clearly nothing but rats.

The leader, the groom, was an old rat who had lived for countless years, with all his fur turned grayish-white, and half of the hair on his head had fallen out.

Seeing two more people appear, the old rat was both surprised and suspicious.

"Where did these fools come from?"

"We are here to give a gift to the groom!"

Lu Fei smiled widely, holding the thunderstruck jujube wood stick behind his back.

"In our world, we always set off fireworks for joyous occasions to liven things up. You being a celestial, marrying such a grand bride, and not even having any fireworks, that's just too unreasonable, isn't it?"

  "Set off fireworks?!"

The old rat frowned, looking at the young man's enthusiastic smile, suddenly feeling a sense of foreboding.

"I think you all are trying to fool this celestial! That is not the bride I had arranged..." The old rat blinked, as if he had thought of something, his two small eyes gleaming with shrewdness.

"You and that old hag are in cahoots, trying to trick me out of my treasures, huh! I'm not that easy to deceive!"

"Oh, you have treasures!" Lu Fei's eyes lit up instantly.

The old rat was taken aback.

Could it be that he had let something slip?

"This immortal's cave is not a place for you to come and go as you please!" It was enraged, its sharp claws waved, "Minions, bite them to death! Whoever bites the most will be heavily rewarded by this immortal!"

The little rats gathered around it scattered in an instant, like a black tide, crazily and excitedly rushing towards Lu Fei and his group.

"A mere rodent dares to call itself an immortal!"

Zhang Molin drew out his Money Sword.

A dark golden light flowed, directly slicing into the swarm of rats.

These little rats were no match at all, with a flash of golden sword light, they turned into burnt corpses one after another, falling to the ground.

As for Lu Fei, he just stood there indifferently, a golden patch on his shoulder flashing, and the rats did not dare to approach, only surrounding him in a circle in a show of force.

He held the ghost-whipping whip, lashing out at those rats repeatedly.

The thunderbolt wood was reserved for the old rat; these small fry were not worthy of it yet.

The rats squeaked and scurried around in panic.

Hu Zi, dressed in red wedding robes, grabbed Granny Feng and pulled her to the front, using her as a human shield.

Anyway, this old woman is not a good person. It serves her right to be bitten to death by rats.

The rats swarmed up, piling at Granny Feng's feet, climbing up her thin, hunched body, and biting her wildly.

"Ahhh—— celestial, you can't treat me like this——"

In an instant, Granny Feng's emaciated body was torn to shreds, with black blood flowing all over. She wailed miserably, struggling desperately and throwing out a handful of paper figures.

The paper figures floated down, igniting clusters of flames among the rat swarm, burning many of the rats to death.

The air was filled with a strong, acrid smell of burning.

Red candles and offerings were overturned, and the carefully arranged wedding hall was thrown into chaos.

"Worthless! Worthless! What use is there in keeping such useless creatures!"

Despite the large-scale attack by the rat swarm, they failed to subdue these people and were instead beaten back so decisively that the old rat was so angry that his whiskers were bent out of shape.

"Immortal, what's the rush? The fireworks haven't even started yet."

Lu Fei kicked away a group of rats and advanced step by step toward the old rat, gripping his ghost-whipping whip in his hand.

An old rat without any offerings, daring to call itself an immortal!

Truly not afraid of divine retribution.

"You little things that haven't even grown your fur completely! Don't get too arrogant. Do you really think you can challenge this immortal with just a few of you? Now, let me show you the powers of this immortal!"

The old rat glared at Lu Fei with malice, its two small eyes suddenly glowing with a sinister red light.

It had lived for many years, and the fur on its head was almost all gone; it must have some level of cultivation.

Lu Fei naturally did not underestimate it and got ready to defend himself.

The old rat fixed its stare on Lu Fei, its small eyes seeming to glow brighter and brighter, the evil red light spreading around.

Wherever the red light enveloped, everyone's heads suddenly buzzed and throbbed with pain.

  Blurred vision.

In a daze, Lu Fei suddenly realized that the objects around him were inexplicably growing taller and larger.

They kept getting bigger and bigger.

A rat had grown as large as a black bear.

  No, that's not right!

Looking around, Lu Fei's heart skipped a beat.

It wasn't that the objects around them were getting larger; they themselves were shrinking!

Now, they were only as tall as a palm, even smaller than a rat. It was like little people in a land of giants, where everything around them was absurdly gigantic.

  "A shrinking spell?!"

  Zhang Molin's face turned pale.

"This old rat actually knows the shrinking spell!"

This is a very ancient magic; I wonder how this old rat learned it.

"Boss!" Hu Zi, leaving Feng Erpo whose condition was unknown, came running like he was crossing mountains and valleys to join Lu Fei and the others.

"Hahaha! Little fellas, are you still being arrogant now!" The old rat let out an ear-piercing laugh, jumping up onto a chair, looking down at the three small figures of Lu Fei from a superior position, "I will soon make you taste what it feels like to be trampled underfoot!"

  It waved its claw.

The rats regrouped, resembling a strong and fierce beast army, completely surrounding Lu Fei and his two companions. A dark mass, their eyes glinting with cruel light, exerting intense pressure.

When rats are much smaller than humans, people simply do not find them scary.

But when the situation is reversed, it's a different story.

At this moment, Lu Fei could clearly see the furry sharp faces of the rats, their dark eyes, and sharp teeth.

He could even smell the stench emanating from their sharp mouths.

"Mo Lin, how do we break this kind of magic?"

"I don't know, this magic is too ancient....But any magic, as long as you attack the caster, the magic will naturally be broken." As the rats kept getting closer, Zhang Mo Lin tightened his grip on the money sword.

  "Understood!"

Lu Fei cast a glance at the old rat on the chair from afar.

The old rat sat high on the chair, grabbing a chicken head and tossing it into his mouth, munching on it with a crunch. Below him, a sea of black rats gave him the imposing aura of a commander leading thousands of troops, looking majestic.

  "My little ones, attack!"

  With one order.

The rats wildly pounced toward Lu Fei and the other two.

  Whoosh.

A fire spirit talisman led the way, exploding in a burst of sparks on the lead rat's body.

The rat instantly burst into flames, igniting several nearby rats.

Lu Fei whipped out the willow branch whip.

Hu Zi swung his ghost-head broadsword, hacking with all his might.

They exerted every ounce of strength just to barely hold back the horde of rats, with no chance of getting closer to the old rat.

"Hahaha! You little pests, this is the price for toying with the immortal one! When I take my new bride tomorrow, I'll use your corpses as my drinking companions!" The old rat laughed maniacally.

  At that moment.

  Woof!

A loud dog's bark echoed above the swarm of rats.

  Immediately afterward.

A massive black dog leaped into the crowd of rats, swatting down a few with a single paw, its enormous body standing in front of Lu Fei and the others.

  "Xiao Hei!"
