the curtains, bathing the room in a soft glow. Aarohi sat by the window, her eyes distant, staring at nothing. The pain in her heart was a heavy, unyielding weight that refused to let her breathe freely.
In the kitchen, Raghav, her father-in-law, stood with Aarushi and Aarav. The trio worked together, preparing breakfast. Aarav, usually playful, was unusually focused, following Raghav's every instruction. "We need to make this perfect," Raghav said firmly, his voice carrying a mix of determination and sorrow.
He paused for a moment, his eyes moist. Aarohi wasn't just his daughter-in-law—she was his daughter. The thought of her sadness cut him deeply. "She's always cared for us like a mother," Raghav whispered. "Today, it's our turn to care for her."
Aarushi placed her hand on his shoulder. "Papa, don't worry. We'll make Bhabhi maa smile. Even if it takes time , we'll do it."
In the dining room, Raghav and Aarav carefully arranged the breakfast table. Aarushi brought Aarohi to sit with them, gently guiding her to a chair. Aarohi looked at the spread before her—fresh parathas, fruit, and her favorite dishes.
"We made this for you, Bhabhi Maa!" Aarushi said cheerfully. "Papa was the head chef, and Aarav and I were his sous chefs!"
Aarav chimed in with a grin, "Though I'm clearly the better cook. I mean, look at this presentation!" He gestured dramatically at the table, trying to lighten the mood.
Aarohi glanced at them, her lips twitching ever so slightly, but her sadness remained. Raghav leaned forward, placing a gentle hand on hers. "Aarohi, you're not just my daughter-in-law. You're my daughter. And no father can bear to see his child like this. We're all here for you. Always."
Aarohi's eyes filled with tears, but she remained quiet.
Flash back
---Later that day, Raghav and Aarav, their faces dark with determination, made their way to a hidden dungeon. Mr. Sharma, the man who had played a part in Shivani's death, was chained to the wall, bruised and terrified.
"You thought you could hurt my family and walk away?" Raghav roared, his voice echoing in the cold, stone room. Weshe Rudar me aachi khatir daari ki hai , and now "You have no idea what a father's wrath feels like."
Aarav stepped forward, his usual playful demeanor replaced with cold fury. "You dared to touch my family," he spat. "Bhabhi Maa is the most precious person in my life. You'll pay for every tear she's shed."
Without another word, Aarav landed a powerful punch on Mr sharma, followed by another and another, each blow fueled by his love and anger. Raghav joined in, their fury unstoppable. "This is only the beginning," Raghav said. "Every single one of you who caused her pain will suffer. This is my promise."
Once they were done, they left Sharma's with the doctor to ensure he stayed alive—only to face more punishment later.
---The next morning, Raghav, Aarushi, and Aarav decided to act like clowns in the living room. Aarav wore a ridiculous hat and pretended to trip over a chair, making exaggerated cries of pain. Aarushi chased him with a pillow, laughing as she shouted, "You better run, or I'll tell Bhabhi Maa your cooking was horrible!"
Even Raghav joined in, pretending to scold Aarav for being lazy while throwing a ball of dough at him. "This is what happens when you don't follow my recipes!" he exclaimed dramatically.
Rudaraksh stood nearby, leaning against the wall with his arms crossed, a faint smile on his lips. He watched as his family tried their hardest to bring some light back into Aarohi's life.
At first, Aarohi merely observed, her expression unchanged. But then Aarav, in his attempts to dodge Aarushi, slipped and fell onto a pile of cushions, earning a loud laugh from Aarushi and Raghav. The sight was so ridiculous that Aarohi couldn't help it—her lips curved into a small smile.
"Bhabhi maa, you smiled!" Aarushi exclaimed, running to her. She hugged Aarohi tightly, her joy palpable.
Aarav joined in, hugging them both. "That's my Bhabhi Maa! I told you I'd make you smile!"
But the moment was fleeting, and Aarohi's smile faded as quickly as it came. "Thank you," she whispered, her voice heavy with emotion.
Raghav knelt before her, taking her hand. "We know, beta. It's okay to feel that way. Just remember, we're with you every step of the way."
