"Oh thank goodness Lord Fallon, you have finally returned." A maid said sounding relieved to see him.
Fallon had not even stepped into his home when he was ambushed by her, he nearly jumped up in fright but composed himself.
"What is the matter? You startled me." He said clearing his throat and taking off her coat as he handed it to her.
"I apologize my lord, it is just that Lady Pippa has been upset since morning and she has resorted to locking herself in her study and had decided not to come out till now despite all my constant pleading." The maid said, she sounded like she was on the verge of tears.
Knowing his twin sister well, he was certain that Pippa had been in a foul mood ever since she had heard of Ian's marriage. She would have terrorized all the maids by now. Which was why the maid before him looked so miserable.
"Calm down, it is alright, where are father and mother?" he sighed.
"They have been gone since morning, they said they would be going to the farm."
