The days continued as normal with Danny going about his usual business during the day and battling again intense nightmares by night. Occasionally he'd also hear his parents having serious conversations but his young mind could not comprehend what they were discussing. Eventually a week came to pass, the day for Danny to go to the doctor finally arrived. The day started with Danny being prematurely woken up by his father.
WAKE UP DANNY WE HAVE AN EARLY START TODAY!!!
Startled Danny quickly jumped out of the bed. He was confused for a few seconds until he saw his father in front of him.
Dad? Why did you wake me up so early.
Because today is the day we're heading to the doctor.
Can't we go later I'm still tired.
No can do I want to get there before the sun sets, it's dangerous at night. So go get ready and in the meantime I'll go get the carriage, I expect you to be ready when I come back.
Reluctantly Danny got out of bed and went to bath. He called his mother and she quickly got the bath ready she then started washing him thoroughly making sure to cover every nook and cranny.
Mom I don't see you preparing to leave.
That's because I'm not honey, sorry Danny but I need to take care of the house while you two are gone.
But can't you take care of the house after we come back besides dad says we'll be coming back while the sun is still up.
I'm afraid it doesn't work that way but don't worry I'll be with you in spirit so just go there and you'll see you'll go back to having normal dreams instead of those scary nightmares.
The bathing then concluded and Danny's mother proceeded to dress him up in neat clothing, once that was done Danny went outside to find his father reeling in the horse drawn carriage.
Oh you're finished and just in time too. Now come on in we're burning daylight here.
Okay dad. I really wish you could come with us mom.
Oh don't worry sweetie I'll be fine besides you'll get to spend time with your father on this trip. This is a rare chance so take it and have fun alright and make sure you have some stories for me when you come back.

After saying goodbye to his mother Danny got into the carriage and soon after they departed. As the carriage continued moving Danny gazed outside through the window, he could see the village in its normal hustle and bustle state, he could see the paths he regularly takes while exploring and eventually they arrived at the village gate. Danny's father gave a quick notice to the gate guard, the gate was then opened and the carriage continued on Danny's eyes lit up in amazement as he gazed upon grasslands as far as the eye can see.
Looks like I forgot, this your first time out of the village isn't it.
Uh huh it looks amazing, I've never seen so much grass before.
Yep these are the grasslands but if you think that's amazing take a look over there by the horizon. That big rock in the distant is called a mountain.
I've heard of a mountain before but I didn't know they were so big.
Fun fact that specific mountain is where Mr Stanton gets his mumble berries from.
Really!?
Yep. The mumble berries there are very fresh which is why Mr Stanley's mumble berry juice is so tasty.
Danny continued listening to all the stories and facts his father was telling him with amazement in his eyes
As the carriage continued on the village became smaller and smaller until it disappeared all together. The carriage passed through many new areas, each place more interesting than the last. Danny still marveled at all of these areas but his excitement was cut when the carriage suddenly stopped. Danny quickly looked out the window in confusion, he saw a strange large area filled with a multitude of trees and bushes so abundant barely anything could be seen in the distant.
Danny I'm going to need you to close the windows now alright.
Huh why.
Well this place where we are is called a forest and normally forests have monsters that want to eat us but if we close the windows the monsters won't see us and want to eat us.
Alright dad.
Danny did as he was told, immediately afterwards the carriage began entering the forest. As the carriage entered the forest it decreased in speed until it was moving at a pace so slow it didn't even make a sound.
Things continued normally until suddenly the carriage began violent shaking and the horse could be heard neighing loudly, the hackman could also be heard screaming.
What's going on!?
Don't worry nothing bad is happening but stay inside alright don't leave.
At that moment Danny's father hurriedly went outside and closed the door. Danny quietly sat inside the carriage meanwhile odd sounds could be heard outside. Fear overcame Danny quickly as the sounds got more and more intense eventually he opened a window to peek outside.
Hey saw his father holding a sword and looking around, suddenly his father began swinging the sword so quickly that he couldn't even see the movement of the sword. Danny's father then sheathed the sword.
Haha Aldric you've still got it. Man I would've finished this quicker if these goblins had just fought in the open. Anyways you alright there Nathaniel.
I'll be alright thank you Sir Aldric.
Danny's father quickly reached out his hand towards the ground seeing this Danny looked towards the direction his father was reaching out and saw the hackman on the ground. As Danny's father picked up the hackman he turned towards the direction of the carriage, seeing this Danny quickly closed the window.
A few seconds later Danny's father opened the carriage holding the hackman, he then put him inside.
Sorry about that son I'm sure it was scary but it's alright now. Mister Nathaniel here is pretty tired so can you please look after him for me as he gets some rest in the meantime I'll be handling the horses.
The trip continues on for some time with Danny's father up front, eventually they exited the forest and by that point the hackman had enough rest to take back the mantle up front. Danny and his father continue to spend time with each other. Soon the sun begins to set but fortunately for the father and son duo they arrived at their destination.
Danny opens the windows once more and looks outside, he sees a large wall surrounding the entire area and as the get closer the wall seems as though it's touching the sky. They then reach a large metal gate accompanied by multiple guards. The guards spend a few seconds examining the carriage once they finished they gave a signal and the gate was immediately lowered.
As the carriage entered the gates Danny marveled at all that lied behind the gate, there were many new things never before seen by his eyes. The carriage continued moving through this strange unique place until they reached a stop. Danny still gazed upon everything around him intently, he was so captivated that he couldn't even here his father calling out to him.
Danny. Danny. DANNY!
Ahhh, oh I'm sorry dad.
This place sure is amazing isn't it but they'll be plenty of time to explore later, right now we need to go get settled in, so come on go and grab your stuff.
Listening to his father Danny quickly went to go take his bags meanwhile his father was talking to the hackman, the hackman then left leaving Danny and his father alone. The two of them then headed into a nearby building and as they entered a large open area bustling with multiple people could be seen.
Danny looked around at the large open area that gave off a colorful atmosphere, he lots of people different to the kinds of people he was used to. He then looked at his father who was still walking straightforward, they then arrived at a reception desk. His father spoke to the lady there while he was still looking around, eventually the lady handed his father a key and soon after they began moving towards a flight of stairs.
They continued moving up until they reached an area with multiple doors on both ends they then walked until they reached a door labeled '365' and using the key he had been given Danny's father opened the door leading Danny into a nicely decorated room accompanied by loads of lovely furniture and in the middle of this room stood a large window showcasing the world outside.
Danny quickly ran to the window and the first thing he noticed was the altitude of the building, the ground was so far away it almost seemed like an infinite drop. While looking around some more he saw lots lit up buildings as well as many well designed carriages roaming the streets, he also saw men clad in armor almost like the one his uncle wore standing in different areas with swords in their hands.
Immediately he turned around to see his father staring at him with a smile on his face, his father then stood up and approached him.
It's pretty beautiful isn't it?
Dad what is this place anyways?
Well the area that we're in is known as the capital city of Lavendoria. It's a place where people with loads of money come to live, it carries a different atmosphere from the village doesn't it.
Yeah, everyone here talks strangely and their clothes are strange too. Also this is a pretty big house.
It isn't a house, this place is known as a hotel, think of it like an inn but more fancy, anyways we should get some rest we'll be visiting the doctor early.
Danny and his father quickly unpacked all of the clothes they came with and afterwards Danny dressed up in his night clothes before heading into a room with a bed twice the size of his normal bed. He went into the bed and due to exhaustion from traveling he quickly passed out.
