The war raged on across the Shinobi World. Each major village was deeply entangled in conflict, and Konoha found itself barely holding the line.

On the Cloud Shinobi front, the Third Raikage's son, Ay, along with the Eight-Tails Jinchūriki, Killer Bee, had launched numerous probing attacks on the Land of Fire. Their forces were commanded by Tutai, a strategic mastermind.

In response, Konoha deployed Hatake Sakumo alongside the elder generation of the Ino–Shika–Chō trio — Nara Yoshinobu, Akimichi Shigeyama, and Yamanaka Arashi — with 2,000 shinobi under their command.

The war was relentless.

Under this immense pressure, both Konoha and the other villages saw a new generation of warriors rise to prominence.

Among Konoha's rising stars, Namikaze Minato became a legend overnight. With his mastery of the Flying Thunder God technique, he single-handedly took down five Sand Shinobi Jōnin and twelve Genin in one battle. He even faced the Fourth Kazekage head-on and returned unscathed.

Meanwhile, on the Mist battlefield, Uchiha Chiichi engaged the Third Mizukage in direct combat, leaving him gravely injured — an act that made Chiichi's name feared across the ninja world.

New talents like Uchiha Hiroshi, Uchiha Mikoto, and Hyūga Hizashi had also begun to establish their reputations.

However, the most shocking figure of all was Hatake Sakumo.

When the Third Hokage personally visited Sakumo, urging him to return to the battlefield, Sakumo finally agreed.

And when he did…

In a single confrontation, Sakumo dispatched eight Jōnin and twenty-three Chūnin from the Cloud Shinobi forces. He then gravely injured Ay in two swift strikes and pushed back Killer Bee, wielding the Eight-Tails' power.

His swordsmanship was sharper, faster, and more lethal than ever before.

The news shook the ninja world.

"How did Hatake Sakumo become this powerful in just a few months?"

Onoki, the Third Tsuchikage, muttered in disbelief when he heard the news.

Raikage Ay was furious and humiliated.

Even Rasa, the Fourth Kazekage, who had crossed blades with Sakumo in the past, was shaken.

"Thank God I didn't face this version of him..." Rasa murmured, beads of sweat on his forehead.

But the person most disturbed was Shimura Danzo.

Danzo clenched his fists tightly.

"This isn't possible... How could Sakumo grow this powerful?"

For years, Danzo had believed that his schemes had crushed Sakumo's spirit, robbing him of his will to fight. Yet somehow, instead of breaking him, Sakumo had emerged stronger than ever.

"If I don't act soon…" Danzo muttered, "He may become unstoppable."

Despite his anxiety, Danzo knew that now was not the time.

"Patience... One mistake... One moment of weakness… Then I'll strike."

One Month Later...

Uchiha Gen sat cross-legged in his private training chamber. Sweat beaded down his forehead as complex chakra diagrams filled his mind.

Suddenly, the information clicked — like a puzzle falling into place.

[You have deeply analyzed the Eight Inner Gates technique. By combining the knowledge of Uchiha body forging techniques, Might Dai's training data, and years of physical conditioning studies, you have achieved an epiphany and created the following techniques:]

Perfect Eight Inner Gates Technique — A perfected version that allows a shinobi to open the Eight Gates safely if their body has been properly conditioned. The user can close the gates at will. Even after opening the Eighth Gate of Death, if the user avoids burning through all their life force, survival is possible.

Eight Gates Forging Technique — A specialized training regimen designed to strengthen the body to withstand the Perfect Eight Inner Gates. With continuous practice, physical limits can be pushed far beyond natural potential.

"Finally... This is it."

Gen smiled to himself.

Later that day, Gen visited Might Dai and Might Guy.

"Dai-san, Guy… I've created something special for you," Gen said, his voice serious.

He transmitted the knowledge directly into their minds through a specialized Genjutsu technique.

When they realized what they had just learned, both father and son were stunned.

"Xuan-kun... This... This is too much!" Dai stammered, his eyes wide with disbelief. "This is... priceless!"

"Xuan, you're amazing!" Guy exclaimed, tears streaming down his face. "I'll use this power to protect everyone!"

Gen smiled. "You deserve this. But remember, I've placed a mental seal in your minds — you can't disclose this to anyone, and no one can forcefully extract the knowledge from you."

"Understood!" Dai declared, clenching his fist. "I swear on my life — if you ever need us, no matter what it is, we're with you!"

Guy stood firm beside his father. "We're with you, Xuan!"

Satisfied, Gen returned home and taught both techniques to his mother, Uzumaki Kushina, Rena, and Yūhi Kurenai.

Finally, he traveled to the Sand Shinobi battlefield to meet Tsunade.

"Xuan, you've outdone yourself," Tsunade marveled after receiving the knowledge. "To think you perfected such a dangerous technique... You're a genius."

"Not just me," Gen said humbly. "I owe a lot to Dai-san and Guy for their data."

Tsunade shook her head. "You give yourself too little credit."

As Gen handed her a scroll containing the new Exercise Pill 5.0, Tsunade smirked.

"That's nice and all, but… where's my real gift?"

Gen sighed in defeat and handed her another scroll filled with her favorite sake.

"Don't overdo it," he warned.

Tsunade grinned. "No promises."

Before returning home, Gen paid a visit to his father, Uchiha Chiichi, on the Mist Shinobi front.

He appeared in the command tent in a flicker of chakra.

"Xuan!" Chiichi greeted, looking both surprised and pleased. "What's the occasion? And... wait... is that food?"

Gen smirked. "I knew you'd be hungry."

In an instant, he laid out freshly cooked meals prepared by his mother.

Chiichi and Mikoto devoured the food eagerly.

"You should've brought this a month ago!" Chiichi grumbled between bites.

Gen chuckled. "Don't worry. I've got plans for something better — something that'll make sure you always have supplies on hand."

As Gen sat with his family, he felt something shift in the air — a sense of looming conflict that couldn't be ignored.

But for now, he let himself enjoy this brief moment of peace.
