Gavi's suggestion was hesitant, but Vaelrik immediately agreed—actually, he was thrilled.
That kind of setting suited him much better.
Feeling a little embarrassed, he laughed and nodded, which made Gavi smile happily as well.
With that decided, Vaelrik chose to grab lunch from a takeout place.
He got sandwiches from a well-known shop, along with some fresh salad packed neatly into a basket, and drinks to go with it.
The lake sparkled in the sunlight, reflecting its brilliance, while a refreshing breeze danced across the surface.
"This feels amazing!"
Vaelrik stretched his arms wide, breathing in the crisp air.
Behind him, Gavi giggled at his enthusiasm.
Turning to face Gavi, Vaelrik quickly scanned the surroundings, checking to make sure they were alone.
"Uh, so… um… Let's sit down first!"
"Huh? Oh, okay."
Vaelrik had wanted to be the one to take the lead, but he was so tense that it wasn't going smoothly.
